She wasn't going to go home till she met Michael, she pesters the men till one of them gets fed up and agrees to go inside and inform Michael of her presence only if he finds him awake.

"Tell him that it is Veronica Goddard who seeks him." She says thankfully.

The man nods and quickly heads inside to discover a Michael who is far away from finding any sleep. He is seated in his office, drinking a glass of wine and resuming his pensiveness until the guard's knock startles him.

"Come in." He says as loud as he possibly can.

The man walks in nervously and Michael is slowly getting irritated by the disturbance.

"Why have you come here, Terrence?" He asks.

The man still reeks of a nervous countenance. He secretly hopes this Veronica lady is important to his boss because if not he might just as well resign.

"Sir, a lady is at the gate. She says she isn't leaving until you meet her. Her name is Veronica Goddard."

Michael who had his head hung in despair and his gaze fixed on his glass suddenly raises his face to meet the trembling guard.

"Veronica?" He asks in astonishment as he quickly rises from behind his desk.

"Yes sir." The man replies.

"Where is she?" His eyes have a new found sparkle and his face produces a joyful smile.

"At the gate, sir."

Before Terrence can ask if he should let her in, Michael pushes him aside and darts out of his office in sheer relief. She was back. She was really back, just as he had hoped. Nothing else mattered to him except the fact that she was here, in his home. His heart leaps for joy as he hurriedly rushes for the gate.

"Veronica... Miss Goddard." He says with a smile as he approaches her.
