Oh, dear. A moan threatened to escape Angela's lips but she gulped it down. "Daniel." She said quickly. "Daniel might wake up." Her hands pushed at his chest with the little force she could manage in that state of baffle. Her gesture did nothing to him. He kept on kissing her skin.

"No, he won't. I can hear him snoring. It's a bad excuse to get me off of you."

"He could wake up." Angela attempted.

"Shut up, Angie. You're my wife." His hand found the hem of her shirt and snaked under the fabric to reach her breast.

"No, I'm not. Not anymore."

His hand switched to her other breast. Her nipples were taut beneath his skin.

"Steven." Angela pushed harder at him and when he still continued nuzzling her neck, her hand smacked his face with the little force she could gather. That stopped him. Quickly Angela escaped from beneath him, adjusted her shirt.

Steven rose to his feet. His eyes were dark, lost in his aroused state. "You wanted me. I know you wanted me." He took a step to her like a lion watching on his prey.

Angela stepped back. "Yes, I wanted you."

Steven reached for her, pulled her body back into his. "Then take me."

"I've wanted you for a long time but I can't now. I can't let you take me. And you got to stop using my want for you against me."

Steven looked at her. Felt her shiver in his arms. She was afraid of him. Afraid of herself, maybe. "No man ever touched you except me, isn't it?"

Angela doesn't speak. Her eyes went to the ground. It was the answer he wanted.

A tender finger on her chin tilted her head back up. "Say the word and I won't ever touch you again, Angela. If that's what you really want."

Say the word, Angela. Say it. He was a man of his word. He wouldn't touch her again if she said so. That's what she wanted. Right? Well, was it?

The silence he got and the pair of green eyes that refused to meet with his told him to stand back. He could see Angela was confused. Being there with him, with Daniel with them, it was a lot of change for her. He couldn't be that brute to force himself on her.

John still thought she was the one who left Steven. "I'm sure he would have found another wife."

"I beg to differ ma'am, but since you left, Mr. Morris never looked at another lady. And he did get a lot of attention from the ladies."

Angela wanted to gape at that statement.

"I've been Mr. Morris's driver since he was a teen. I remember the night he first met you. All the ride home, he kept smiling like an idiot." His smile waned slightly. "Shame you drifted apart and you left."

"Is that what he told you?" Angela inquired curiously. The man seemed to be the person Steven trusted enough to talk with.

"Well, honestly, he never really spoke about you. I've only heard the stories going around the office and outside."

"What stories?" She was even more intrigued.
