You are getting what? I asked shocked.

"Yes, I'm gonna be a Mrs soon." She beamed. I've never seen my mum this happy except for that time Angel called her momma. That was angels first word.....

I remember that day like it was yesterday. I was in tears....

I couldn't stop my self. It was a memorable day indeed.

Her face was so innocent....so cute, delicate and pure. Just like an Angel.....

I was pulled out of memory lane by a joyful scream

"Ahhhh!!" Angel screamed!

"I'm gonna have a grandpa!!" She sang as she did the happy dance.

Did I ever tell you guys that this girl is really hyper when she decides to? One would never think she was a broody, about to be teenager when you see her in this mood.

"Jack, why aren't you saying anything? Aren't you happy? You better be happy cause you put me up to this."

"Oh, it's not that mum". I said as I hug her (a form of re-assurance)

"I was just overwhelmed with happiness. I don't know how to express my joy...." I said still stunned.

"Aweeee.....my poor baby..." She began

"Don't call me that muuummm...I have a ten year old kid!" I complained.

"Shut it! You'd always be my baby till the day I draw my last breath." She told me.

"Mumm, don't speak about your death now! Not after dropping the bomb about your engagement. Which by the way may I ask, when do you intend to throw the party?"

"Uhmm.... Actually that's the thing...it's by the end of this month." She told us.

"Hey, Jack, don't forget our deal. It's your turn to keep your part of the bargain." She said with a mischievous smirk.

I was confused at first as to what she implied. But soon remembered the deal we made of me trying to move on with my life if she did. And although it took her five more years to do so, she finally did it leaving me with no choice.

"Mumm, not now okay? Firstly, we need to celebrate!" I said changing the topic

"Yey!!" Angel shouted.

"Does this mean I'm no longer grounded?" Angel asked with hopeful eyes.

"Hmmm, let me think...urhhh...the answer is no! But you're free for today though." I said.

"Ugh..... Why me?!" She whined

"Enough with the bickering, let the fun begin!!" My mum chimed.
