Fated Or Accident novel Chapter 44

As I walked towards the door, I realized that I was a mother. I had two babies waiting on me to come back. If anything, I wanted to just go back and see them. If I didn't have anything else to live for, they were worth it all. I twisted the door knob and walked through the door. I felt like I was floating for a few seconds in this really bright light. But then it all went dark and I could hear the heart monitors, I was connected to, beeping.

My body felt like tons of bricks that were too heavy to lift. I sat there like nothing happened. I could hear everything in the room but no one was there with me anymore. I tried to relax and let my body handle itself naturally but I'm claustrophobic. I cant stay in this damn body like this for long. Before I realized what I was doing, I tried making my body parts move. After the fiftieth failure, I gave up.

The room door opened and I heard someone gasp. I could hear their jagged breathing, like the air in their lungs hurt like hell when they breathed in. I didn't know who the hell it was. I heard the doors open again and I heard two carts being pulled into the room. A whispered "thank you", was heard, and then I couldn't hear anything else.

I know these heffas didn't give up on me already. I just got back into my body. Why the hell would they pull the plug so early!?

Then I heard it. At first it was a faint baby sound until I heard an ear piercing scream. I heard footsteps approach the baby while giving soft "shh's".

"Adrian. Shh. Mommy's trying to sleep." I heard a deep, familiar, yet filled with hurt, voice say. Nicolas. The baby didn't stop crying after I heard Nicolas pick him up. Nicolas started walking around the room until he sat down next to me, still trying to quiet the baby.

"Look there's mommy." I heard Nicolas say while the baby was still screaming his lungs out. Nicolas then placed the baby next to me. At first nothing happened, but when Nicolas placed the baby on my chest, the room fell silent. I was mad as hell that I couldn't move or anything but I felt Adrian fall asleep on my chest. Even while I wasn't conscience, the baby still loved me. I wanted to cry so bad but I couldn't, I couldn't even move my body.

Nicolas waited until he was sure the baby was asleep to pull Adrian off my chest and put him back in the cart. I heard him walk closer towards me and sit down again.
