I walked to the back doors to stare out at the beautiful ocean view. It was amazing. It felt like summer in the Hamptons a little. And I started to realize that my children would have a completly different life than I had. They would grow up wanting nothing. They had their father wrapped around their fingers and they could have anything they wanted. I on the other hand, didn't want anything but what I already had.
Nicolas and my dad started talking quietly while the babies slept and I had this odd feeling to snoop around the house. I didn't question it, I just went with it. I walked upstairs and passed three bedrooms before I came to this room. I felt a pull towards it and I didn't understand why. There wasn't anything to explain whose room it was on the front, so I decided the only correct thing to do was take a sneak peak in and see whose room it was.
I probably shouldn't have done that.
There was brown, bright blue and bright pink everywhere. It was a million dollar baby room, custom made for the twins that I had no idea about. I couldn't do anything but walk around and stare at everything completely shocked. The baby gifts from the baby shower were here, neatly in their place. There was baby clothes hanging in the clothes already. Little sailor suits and princess outfits. Diapers were already on the changing stand. There was two of everything and in designated colors with names.
"You werent supposed to find it yet." Nicolas said behind me, scaring the hell out of me.
"I'm nosey. It happens."
"Do you like? Everyone pitched in to help set it up before you came home."
"Home?"
"Yes. And before you give me some bullshit excuse of why we can't live together, you're apartment has already been sold, and your stuff along with the babies' has been moved in already."
"So I guess I have no choice?"
"Not really."
"So we're all just one big happy family now?"
