"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today in the sign of God –and in the face of this company- to join together this man and this woman in holy matrimony, which is...." I let the priest do his speech while I just stared into Nicolas's eyes. I still couldn't believe I was actually marrying him. I mean yeah we were already married but I was drunk cut me some damn slack. But this time, we were completely sober and went through these past six months planning this wedding to actually become a married couple. We were officially announcing to the world that we loved each other.

"Who gives this bride to be married?" the Priest asked. I hadn't realized we made it to Nicolas already because I was thinking too hard. Either way my heart picked up speed again. Kevin and Dad took my left hand and placed it on Nicolas's right hand. Dad leaned in a little to say something in Nicolas's ear and he stiffened for a second but then relaxed again. I looked back at my father as he went to sit down wondering what he said to him.

"This relationship stands for love, loyalty, honesty and trust, but most of all for friendship. Before they knew love, they were friends, and it was from this seed of friendship that is their destiny. Do not think that you can direct the course of love – for loves, it if finds you worthy, shall direct you." I let the priest's words sink in. Were Nicolas and I really friends before everything went south from there? I mean we met as friends but what lead us to become more than that? Was it love? Was fate really just guiding us together to become one like we always should have been?

"Do you, Nicolas Stark, take, Arianna Pacheco, to be your wife –to live together after God's ordinance- in the holy estate of matrimony? Will you love her, comfort her, and honor and keep her, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon her your heart's deepest devotion, forsaking all others, keep yourself only unto her as long as you both shall live?" The priest asked, bringing me out of my last minute thoughts.

"I do." Nicolas said staring into my eyes.

It was now or never.

"I do."

"Nicolas do you have your ring?" Nicolas turned around to James, who I hadn't noticed even existed until now. It's amazing how I was so focused on Nicolas that I didn't even notice most other people. James handed Nicolas the ring.

"As you place the ring onto her finger say, with this ring, I thee Wed." the Priest told Nicolas.
