I said, "Ok I'll go first. When's your birthday?" She smiled shyly and said, "Valentine's Day." I was shocked and said to her, "Your birthday is the same as Riley." She nodded her smile getting wider and said, "Riley's an hour or so older." I nodded and then she asked me, "Your birthday?" I replied, "24 January." She nodded and I asked her, "Favourite color?" She replied, "Cream." I smiled at her and she asked me, "Yours?" I replied while smirking at her, "Well it use to be blue but now I guess I have to say hazel." She turned red and I chuckled at the sight of her and she turned redder and looked away. I put my fingers under her chin and made her face me and said to her while smirking, "Don't hide your face from me Alex." She shivered and smirked back at me and leaned closer and said in an innocent voice, "What are you gonna do about it Derek?" I shivered when she said my name because it just rolled out her tongue and I leaned closer and then I kissed her.

My wolf howled with joy. I put my hands on either side of her waist and put her on my lap. I licked her lips for entrance which she denied I growled in annoyance and grip either side of her waist which made her gasp. I took that as an oppurtinity to plunge my tougue in her mouth. Our lips moving in sync and fighting for dominance. The kiss was so passionate that I wanted to take her than and there but then we got an interruption which made me growled while still kissing her.

"ALEX!" Alex pulled apart and was about to get off my lap but I held her in place and said to her ear while smirking, "This is just the beginning Alex." She shivered and quickly got off me while blushing. I chuckled at the sight of her and she scowled.

I got up from my sit cause the door bell rang. I went to the door and opened it and saw a guy around my age. He looked shocked to see and I heard a growl from him. He must have thought I was some guy here to see Riley. I nearly chuckled but then he asked me, "Is Riley home?" I replied, "Yeah she's just getting ready. Come on in."

He came in just when Riley came down the stairs. He's jaw dropped and Riley smirked at the sight of him. I looked from Riley and the dude and looked at Alex with a questioning look and she mouthed at me, "I'll explain it later." I nodded.

After that, he took out his hand and Riley took it and both of them went to his car.

Me and Alex went in the living room and sat on the love seat. When I sat down, I asked her, "So who was the dude on Riley's doorstep?"

I swear if I see another couple acting all lovey dovey shit I'm gonna scream. It was bad enough seeing Riley having a date with a guy which I'm guessing is with her mate but now it's Derek and Alex. I'm happy for them obviously but...

I told Derek that I would be at the backyard which I am but in the woods part. I just wanted to clear my head. I shifted behind a tree into my light brown wolf with white at the tips of my tail. I was smaller than most she-wolves but don't underestimate my size. I can't wait for my birthday but even though your not at the age when you smell your mate which is 16, your mate, who could be older can still know we're their mate although we don't cause we can't smell their scent. My birthday is on the October 4. So it'll be next month and it's in my favorite season. Autumn. I don't know why but that particular season always calms me down.

I just ran and ran and ran away from all the shitty love stuff from Riley's house and after a while I stopped. I just walked and felt my surroundings. I stumbled upon a cliff with my favourite flower surrounding it. Gardenia's. It wasn't like the place where me, Derek and Riley found when we were small but it felt like my personal sanctuary. I just put my wolf head on my paws and whimpered and sighed sadly wondering if I'll ever meet my mate.
