Everyone begins cheering for Cole. Cassie jumps up and leaps into his arms. He hugs her tightly before walking up to where Dane is standing to get the large gold number three for his necklace.

When he returns to his seat, Dane looks at me and smiles. “Following in her mother’s footsteps, number two on the leaderboard is Alpha Sebastiana Webb.”

I feel tears in my eyes. “Congratulations, baby!” Shane says, pulling me into a hug. “I’m so proud of you.”

“Congratulations to you, number one on the leaderboard. Christian is going to be so proud,” I say, hugging him tightly.

I walk up to Dane who is grinning like the fucking Cheshire Cat. “Congratulations, Sebi,” he says, handing me my number two.

“Fuck that. If you’re not going to hug her, I am,” Ryan says, swinging me into a big bear hug. I laugh and feel Dane’s arms come around us in a group hug.

“I’m so proud you, little sis,” Ryan says.

“Thanks, Ry,” I say, as he sets me back on my feet.

I take my number two, staring at it a moment, then turn back to Shane. He knows he’s next. He knows he’s the best in our class, but his full attention is on me.

What a lucky woman I am to have been blessed with a man like him as

“And the new number one on the leaderboard, my nephew will be so pleased when he finds out, is Alpha Shane Ward!”

I lift my head and howl for my mate. He jogs up to me, pulling me into a passionate kiss before going up to get his number one.

The rest of the night goes by in a blur of celebration. No one goes to bed. It’s almost as if we all know that everything in our lives is about to change and we’re holding on to this one last moment together.
