“We love you too. Get some rest, Enya,” I say.

Christian begins purring before saying goodbye.

When we hang up, I look at Shane. “Why do I feel so overwhelmed?”

He smiles and kisses me softly. “Because you, my brave, powerful, passionate woman, feel everything strongly. This was a big day for them, which makes it important to you.”

I nod and lean my head on his shoulder. I realized something very important about Shane over the past few months. He
