"Yes." She mumbled as she looked down at the ground fighting the tears.

"What happened?"

Sam gripped Blake's shirt tighter and she jumped into the story of what happened. She paused for a moment after explaining everything. "I've called the cops and so did my boss, now we just are waiting on them."

"Okay Sis, well the only request I have is one of us are to be with you at all times, I don't care where you're going or how long but I need to talk to Blake for a minute." Aaron frowned at Blake as Sam made her way over to the barn entrance.

Blake looked at Aaron, he knew, he knew everything.

"So, she's who you helped in Denver huh?"

"Yes."

"And you haven't told her?"

"No."

"Why?"

"I don't know, I was about to last night before you got upset with us."

"Do you have feelings for her?"

"No, I don't you told me not to get involved like that so I'm not, I'm just worried about her, you haven't even noticed the bruises on her neck from when he tried to kidnap her."

Aaron looked at the ground sheepishly. "No I haven't but you know how busy it is here."

"Just don't say anything to her please, I'm not going to tell her." Blake pleaded.

"Fine just do it quickly and don't let her out of your sight at all from now on."

"Okay." Blake headed into the barn. He couldn't find Sam, panic filled him quickly. "Sam, Sam?" He yelled as he kept walking.

"I'm out here Bake." She called from the other door of the barn.

Blake walked out and saw her sitting there, her legs pulled up to her chest and her arms wrapped around them. He sat down beside her, his heart melting even more. "You okay?"

She shrugged her shoulders. She wasn't sure of anything anymore. She was completely numb.

"Hun talk to me."

"I don't have anything to say."

"Oh Sammy." He pulled her against him and laid his head on top of hers.

"What orders do you have from Aaron?"

"To not let you out of my sight."

"Bet you're excited about that."

He kissed her forehead gently. "I'm not complaining but we need to talk."

"I'm tired of talking, I don't want to do anything anymore."

Blake made her look up at him and pressed his lips to hers hard. "Don't talk like that, we'll protect you and put him away for good I promise."

She smiled up at him faintly. "I won't, I'm sorry."

"Come on let's get the feed ready, it'll be time to bring the horses in soon."

"More than likely, we'll go take these guys up and start some good food."

They took off up to the barn and gave the horses to Sam and Blake. They started the burgers and dogs.

Sam and Blake got done with everything out in the barn. She let out a heavy sigh. "Are you eating with us tonight?" She looked up Blake.

The minute he saw those beautiful blue-green eyes turn on him he couldn't resist the invitation. They were so wide and innocent and he couldn't disappoint her. "Sure." He smiled his sexy grin.

Sam smiled in pleasure and she wrapped her arms around him in a hug. She shouldn't get too attached she knew that but after that kiss she had hope. "Hmmm smells good."

"Sure does." They headed into the house. She felt Blake freeze when they saw Brady.

"Oh look Aaron the anti-socialist showed up finally to have dinner, couldn't have anything to do with your sister."

"Brady give it a rest." Aaron rolled his eyes, he was getting tired of Brady being a hard ass towards Blake. He saw Sam glare at Brady, apparently she was getting of it to.

"Whatever, just hand me some food and I'll be on my way."

They all sat down at the table and began to eat. Brady was done first and excused himself and left.

"See you later Brady." They all called out.

Then the three of them finished supper and began to clean up.

Blake turned towards Aaron and cleared his throat. "Aaron do you mind if I and Sam go for a walk?"

Aaron turned towards Blake and let out a sigh when he saw Sammy holding Blake's hand. No matter what they said they obviously were falling for each other or at least Sammy was. "That's fine just not too late and don't go too far, just in case."

"No problem Boss, see you in the morning." Blake smiled down at Sam and he turned them towards the front door and he turned them towards the front door. They walked out towards the meadow, how he was going to do this was beyond him, he had to tell her but he didn't want to screw this up. She was making her way into his heart and he didn't want her to stop working her magic on him. He stopped quickly when he felt her pull on his hand. "What's wrong?"
