"You think I'm crushing on you too?"
"No, I didn't say that."
"You didn't have to, it's obviously you think I am too."
"Sam that's not what I'm saying at all."
"Yeah sure."
"Sam please don't."
"Aww trouble in lover's paradise?" The mocking voice said behind them.
They turned quickly and saw Brady.
"No!" They both answered at the same time.
Sam's cheeks were on fire. "Just an argument between friends is all, I'm not going to be here long enough to take on a lover let alone start a relationship." Sam turned back to the stove and finished breakfast while the boys sat at the table shooting daggers at each other. At least she imagined they were since she still hadn't seen Blake's face fully.
She plopped the eggs and bacon in front of them then started some toast. She wondered if Aaron would be coming back in.
They got done with breakfast then headed outside to start the same routine as yesterday.
When they got done with the stalls Sam leaned against one. "Blake do you care if I don't go on a ride today, I have some work I've got to get done."
"That's fine, I'll see you later."
"Thanks." She mumbled then headed inside to get her drawling supplies. She went out behind the barn and leaned against it as she got her things ready. She gazed out at the pastures and instead of drawling her sketches for work she began to work on the scene and she got completely lost in her work.
Aaron started towards the barn to tie his horse up for a minute, when he saw Blake sweeping he jumped down from his mount and headed up to him. "Hey, where's Sammy?"
"She had some work to do for her actual job so she decided to work on that for a little bit."
"Oh okay, hey do you want some lunch?" Aaron asked as he kicked a stone out of the barn.
"No, I think I'm good, thanks though."
"Alright." Aaron turned to go to the house when he saw the bouquet of flowers sitting in front of the door. He picked them up slowly and saw Samantha scrolled on the card in a masculine hand writing. "Blake!"
Blake looked up and jogged over to Aaron. "What's up Boss?"
"Where did these come from?" He motioned to the big thing of flowers in his hand.
"I don't know it's been pretty quiet all day, no one came up the drive or anything." His heart about stopped when he saw the hand writing.
Aaron grabbed the card and tore it open fast. He began to read it.
Brady jogged up to his boss and lifelong friend. "What's up?"
"Read this and tell me what you're thoughts are."
Brady took the card from Aaron. He read it five times before he looked back up at Aaron wide eyed an, running his hand over his mouth wiping some sweat away. "A stalker? Well that explains a lot but why won't she just say something to us?"
"I don't know by the obviously knows she is here, I don't want her going anywhere by herself, one of us need to be with her at all times."
"Done." Brady was really concerned about Sam, she was in trouble and that would explain why she slapped him the first day she was back.
"I'm going to go talk to Blake and her now."
"Do we really need him involved?"
"Yes, Sam seems to be okay with him hanging around so he's probably our best bet at keeping her safe." Aaron walked back to the barn hastily. When he got close to the front he saw Blake with his arm around Sam. Yeah he was going to be Aaron's best bet. "Sam we need to talk."
Sam sighed heavily and moved closer to Blake. "Okay."
Aaron handed the card to Sam, he saw her hand tremble as she took it.
Sam ready the card slowly while she gripped the side of Blake's shirt tightly. She looked at her brother "What do you want to know?"
"Is that the reason you're here?" Aaron asked gently.
