"Just everyone going crazy that you've been dealing with this, I don't know all the details, neither does anyone else, you can take the time you need Sam, but I was just wondering when you may possibly come back home?"

"I don't know Sara, I don't know if I'm going to go to counseling then come back home or just do both." She hid her sadness.

"Counseling? Samantha what happened?" Sara's concern was obvious.

Sam didn't know what she'd do without a boss like Sara, she actually cared about her employees. "Let's just say they didn't catch him before he got to me, I don't want to go into details right now, I'm honestly barely able to sleep though." Sam shuddered just thinking about what the dirt bag did to her. "I'm feeling the effects of it today Sara, I'll get everything to you today though, everything I've worked on since being here."

"Oh no rush Sweetie, our clients have been more than understanding with what has been going on, make sure you're okay first, please?"

"Okay Sara, thanks." Sam ended the call tossing her phone onto the table. She wrapped her arms around herself tightly as she began to cry. What she needed was Blake, no shrink was going to make this better, only he made her feel better.

As if he knew she was thinking about him he came into the kitchen fast. "Baby what's the matter?"

"Oh Blake, I don't know what to do," she stood up and went into his arms. "I don't want to be without you but I have a job that needs done, I need you all the time now, I'm too damaged to do anything else but hang on you all day, the longer I stay here the more I'm going to want you around, I can't do this by myself."

He lifted her up into his arms and brought her to the living room. He sat on the couch slowly and wrapped his arms around her. "Let me come with you, we love each other it makes sense, I want to be with you," He whispered against her ear. "We can work on everything else as time goes on, you aren't damaged Sammy, you've been through a very tough ordeal and it's not something you can just forget overnight, it's been one day, don't push yourself so hard, I can be here as long as you want me to be here and I will be."

She dug her head against his chest. "I want to be with you too I don't want you to become miserable either though."

"As long as I am with you I'll never be miserable, you are everything to me." He moved her face up to his and kissed her gently.

She kissed him back. "I have to go in today to turn a lot of things in to my boss."

"Do you want me to go with you or you want to try to go by yourself?" He asked leaning his head against hers.

"Will Aaron let you go?" She asked pulling back to look at him.

"Only one way to find out, go get your stuff Baby, meet me in the barn." He patted her ass when she got up from his lap and headed up the stairs. He headed out to the barn and looked for Aaron.

Aaron came in through the barn's back door. "Hey man what's up?"

"Sam has to make a trip to Denver, we were wondering if it'd be okay if I went with her?" Blake leaned against one of the stalls crossing his arms.

Shortly after they headed out Sam moved closer to Blake, laying her head on his shoulder and began to fall asleep.

Blake pulled into the parking garage not even thinking about it. He put the truck in park and reached to shake Sam's leg gently. "Baby, we're here."

Sam slowly woke up and looked around. The feeling of dread wrapped around her like a stifling blanket. She took a deep breath trying to diminish the feeling. She was with him, nothing was going to happen. She could count on him since the first day he saved her.

She grabbed her things and followed Blake out the driver's side. She grabbed his hand tightly.

"It's okay Sammy I've got you, I should have parked on the street." He was mentally kicking himself for his screw up.

"I'm okay just don't let go." She tried hard to keep her breathing under control. She could do this, she had to do this. Something made a loud clattering noise and she about jumped into his arms.

"Easy Honey, it's okay Babe I'm right here, I've got you." He led her out of the garage quickly and they headed to her office building. They went through the push and pull door off to the side instead of the revolving door so Blake didn't have to let her go.

When they walked in he was speechless. A lot of crystal chandeliers, white tile flooring, the place was huge and beautiful. He followed her over to the elevator, her nails almost digging into is hand. They got into the small elevator and Sam pushed the seventh floor button. He felt her take in a deep, shaky breath. He squeezed her hand reassuringly. "It's okay Baby."
