"Is that what you really want? You want us to be over?" He asked completely baffled.
Sam closed her eyes tightly. "You'll be miserable in my world Blake and because I love you I can't let that happen."
Blake took in a deep breath. "Fine Sam, if that's what you want." He finished wrapping her wounds that were healing nicely and left the room.
Sam watched him leave, she pulled herself up onto her pillows, rolling on her side away from the door and pulled her knees up to her chest. She began to cry and cry finally crying herself to sleep.
Blake sat at the kitchen table alone staring at the sink as it slowly dripped. He left the pizza untouched. He heard the front door open and shut. He turned a little as Aaron walked into the kitchen.
"Blake?" Aaron asked confused as he walked over to the fridge.
"Boss." Was all he said as he stared at the leaking faucet again.
"Uh oh," Aaron sat down beside him at the table. "What happened?"
"She ended it." Blake answered, his voice full of hurt and pain.
Aaron's head snapped up to look at Blake carefully examining his face, he looked so upset and distraught. "What?"
"She says I won't be happy in her crowd, that because she loves me she's not going to ask me to try, she's going back at the end of this week." Blake explained drawing his hands into fists slowly.
"I thought she was going to do counseling, what happened to that?"
"No clue, she got really distant after we left Denver, and things didn't help when I stopped to get us the pizza that guy from the other night was being stupid again, I don't know what he said I just stopped him and set him straight that she was with me and my girl," Blake let out a sigh as he ran his fingers through his brown hair. "If you're hungry you can have my pizza, don't eat hers though, hopefully she gets hungry and eats later." He got up from the table and shoved the chair up against it and stormed out of the house.
No one would ever compare to his girl he had now. No one else would do or take her place. He guessed he was meant to be alone.
Sam began to whimper in her sleep again, she screamed as she shot to a sitting position and turned quickly and fell off the bed.
Aaron rushed into the bedroom. "Sammy!" He shouted as he saw the empty bed and covers all over the place.
"I don't want us to hate each other, eventually that's what would happen, I want to remember us as being happy and in love." Sam tightened her arms around him as she laid her forehead against his back.
He felt her trembling. "Sammy I'd never grow to hate you, you made me feel things again, I'll always love you." He turned towards her and wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head. "I wish you'd let us figure things out, you mean everything to me."
She rubbed her head against his chest. "I need to try this on my own Blake, I'll never heal if I don't, just maybe give me some time Blake, please."
I'll never give up on you Sammy, I'm just going to be messed up, too messed up to try anything ever again, you have my heart and always will." He hugged her tighter feeling like his heart was breaking into a million pieces and it'd take a miracle to put it back together.
Sam looked up at him, tears in her gray eyes, this man gave her everything she needed during her time of need. She was hurting so much and closed her eyes tightly and the tears fell. "I'm sorry Blake but thank you for everything from saving me the first day and for yesterday, you are an amazing person and if you find someone better promise me not to close off your heart again, let them heal what I've destroyed."
Blake tilted her head up and caught her lips beneath his passionately. He slowly pulled back making her whimper out. "There will never be anyone else, you are my first and my last, you healed me Sammy and I wish you'd let me help heal you."
The spark and desire flew over her body like a roaring fire. She gripped his hair in her fingers and went to kiss him again but he pulled away.
