"Sara don't do that, everything is fine." Sam objected.
"No it's not Samantha, you made a mistake, that man is so in love with you I saw it when you guys were here and you are very much in love with him also, love conquers quite a bit."
"Why cause we slept together a couple of times? Big deal." She tried to play it off.
"No because he protected you when you needed it, he followed you all the way here the other day, men don't do that unless they really care about you."
"He begged me not to go Sara, he begged, I should have listened I got so scared before coming in, he called like he knew something was wrong, I can't believe I'm so screwed up Sara." Sam began to cry again.
Sara moved around the oak desk and pulled Sam out of the chair taking her to her office instead. When they got to it she made Sam lay down on the white couch she had in there. "Samantha, you've been through a lot in such a short period of time, you're allowed to feel the way you do but if this cowboy makes it better then that's where you need to be and who you need to stay with."
Sam stared at the ceiling. "He's coming to at least get my truck out of the parking garage."
"Then talk to him when he get's here, don't make the same mistake again, let him love you and let yourself love him."
"Sir you can't go in there Ms. Matthews doesn't want disturbed, she asked me to keep everyone away, sir!" Cecilia ran after the tall man as he rushed past her.
"Well I have some more important things to do ma'am." He went the way he had been led when they came here a few days ago. He made his way into the office of Sara Matthews and stopped when he saw Sam on the couch. "Baby." He whispered.
Sam sat up quickly locking eyes with the man who captured her heart. "Blake." Her voice cracked as she spoke. She stood up but froze before she threw herself into his arms.
Sara looked first at Blake then Samantha, she gently nudged her employee towards the devastatingly handsome cowboy. "You two need to have a talk," she smiled at both of them. "Take your time." She walked out of her office pushing Cecilia out and closed the door softly behind them.
Sam pulled her gaze from Blake's, staring at the tile floor, twisting her fingers in front of her slowly. "Was that really forty-five minutes?" she whispered.
Blake walked up to her, he slid his thumb to the side of her chin and his index finger under her chin tilting it slowly. "No more like thirty."
She trembled a the feel of his fingers on her skin. "That was dangerous." She barely got out.
"Cowboy, don't let her go this time, keep her close and win her even more than you already have." Sara shook her head as she headed back to her office giggling a little.
As soon as Sara was in her office Blake and Sam began to leave. Blake rushed Sam to Aaron's truck, got her in safely then he headed to the garage and Sam pulled out in front of him. She had to go home before she went back to Aaron's, if she went back. She led the way to her apartment.
Blake was baffled but didn't hesitate for one second as he followed Sam through the city. He finally put two and two together when they pulled up into an apartment complex.
He got out of Sam's truck quickly and met her at Aaron's truck. He smiled at her gently as she got out. All he wanted was to wrap his arms around her and hold her closer to him. It was undeniable he loved this woman who started as forbidden to him in the beginning and now had Aaron's blessing.
Blake smiled reassuringly. "Are you sure you're okay Baby?"
Sam glanced at Blake before she moved closer, "I'm fine." She leaned into his strength as they began to head into her apartment.
Blake put his arm around her gently. He was speechless when he walked into the apartment. It was about three of his loft. The furniture was leather, brown, and looked really expensive. He let out a low breath. Maybe this was part of the reason she didn't want to stay with him, he couldn't afford her on his salary at Aaron's.
