*Chance's POV*
Once removing his slimy tongue from my skin and shifting back I finally relaxed exhaling deeply. Even though the wounds had started to close and the skin slowly patched itself back together, the pain was still there, only subsiding every minute or so. I opened my eyes to find Milo staring at me face to face, his eyes fixed on me and all of my small movements. If it wasn't him I would have retaliated with my suck-y reflexes but I didn't. instead I just re-closed my eyes, trusting he wouldn't do anything stupid while I tried to regain some kind of strength into my body. Which that, was an awful mistake as the feeling of something warm pressed up against my lips.
Wide eyed, and shocked I stared as Milo, his face a pale pink as he held his hand over his mouth. I don't really see why, I mean, shouldn't I be the one holding my lips!? He kissed me! I calmed down for a bit glancing at anything possible to see except Milo as he sunk back sitting down. I knew that Milo was a bit weird and showed a slight different interest in me but... I didn't think about it in a romantic manner! Then it hit me, maybe his hand slipped and- Milo cleared his throat, I nervously glared at him out of panic. His face grew more with color as I couldn't help but find it cute. Cute...? I gagged mentally on my own words.
A snapping from a twig sent our attention to the figure who stood on the side watching, who knows how long he's been there. Milo grew more uneasy by his appearance than he did with realizing he's kissed me. At first I'd sighed in relief causing Milo to look at me in a pained expression, I didn't care really, this was way to awkward. Austin walked over to us, pulling both of us to our feet. At first I thought he was going the knocked the shit out of both of us but instead, "Congratulations." the words rushed out solemnly with a smack to our backs. Now if I wasn't so fixed up over Austin thinking I was seeing Milo, I would have smacked that grin off of Milo's face. "We're heading out now."
Milo nodded eagerly as Austin walked off. He grabbed my hand but with the uncomfortable feeling, I smacked it away staring at him stupidly. "Milo...we're not-" I began to say as Austin looked back. His blue eyes nailing my voice in my throat as the sharp pain in my chest nearly made me want to beat Milo to a pulp(which I'm pretty sure I couldn't). Milo dragged his attention over to Austin who had started on his path to the others already. I sunk back resting my forehead against the cold dry bark, trying to regain my breathing.
"Sorry," Milo muttered walking in the direction Austin went and I'm glad he did. Because truthfully, I wanted to be alone. I nearly had to deal with me being the one who almost got Austin killed and on top of that couldn't even do anything about it.
"Ha, yeah." Jett spat, but before Milo could attack him for agreeing with me Austin beat him to it. He didn't do any psychical damage, well a little but it only made me laugh this time. When Jett laughed Austin looked at him and bucked, causing Jett to choked and stumbled backwards, hitting hard against the mini rocky hill and tumble down. Austin smiled waving at him as I chuckled knowing I had not right to but I laughed anyways. I think the best damage to an enemy is the damage they do to themselves, and with that, Austin made an good example of it. "WHAT THE HELL!?"
Everyone burst out into laughter (except Austin who had caused the fall back scene), and judging by that, Jett flushed deeply. "Let's go." Austin demanded as we walked down the hill passing Jett as he dusted off the chilled snow. I carefully sneaked passed Milo as Forrest mumbled something to him. "Chance," Austin began noticing I was nearly at his side, "How are your wounds?"
