"How are yours?" I could feel him glance down at me from the corner of his eye, I shot my attention straight downward watching the rhythm of our feet. Even though I didn't look I could feel him shrug.

"Couple of scratches, not so bad." I nodded not knowing what for, I guess to let him know I heard him.

"Well I'm good, since Milo partially relieved the pain." I don't know if I'd chosen the right words due to the snort of anger in his throat so I looked for a better explanation. "The wounds weren't that bad-"

"Sorry," he said the second time in his life to me, the guilt rushed at me knocking the color from my face. "I said I wasn't going to let you die yet, I couldn't even fight them off-"

"WHOA!" I screamed taking a step back to make sure I heard everything he said. Everyone looked at me weird but what the hell was going on in his head? "You think just because you couldn't fight off a shit load of psycho hungry wolves plus what ever that giant fur ball was, by yourself, you should be apologizing to me!?" He nodded questioningly as I laughed, how absurd! "I should be the one saying sorry to you! I could have died by the first attack of wolves, yet you saved me when I accused you of being an cannibal!," the boys snickered but I was dead serious, I didn't want any misunderstandings., "I could have frozen to death if you hadn't let me use your fur! And I sure as hell didn't listen when you said to stay quiet! IT'S MY FAULT THAT THEY CAME!!" At this point Austin was looking at me wide eyes, I don't know if it was because I had the guts to yell at my alpha in front of the pack, or due to the fact I was on the verge of crying. Either way I didn't care, I was already weak and the fact of me dragging down the alpha wasn't pleasing me at all. The tears were so close to falling, just with one breath they would be oozing down my cheeks. "I - !" I began but the rest of the words came out as barks. I glanced at Austin, he was standing above me- no I was below him... I jumped back tripping over my tail in shock. The familiar yet unnatural feeling shook me up so bad that when Austin was trying to get me to come over to him, I was pushing myself back at a random tree.

"Beautiful..." Milo said gasping as Silas finally got the chance to smack him.

"Chance," Austin fingers brushed against my snout causing even in my wolf form a tingling sensation. I shook it off bring my paw over my nose repeatedly until the feeling was gone. A smile crept on everyone's face except Milo who was stuck in awe. "Nice timing..."

Austin murmured something as I turned to see him scoop up a wad of snow with his feet and kick it off in the opposite direction of us. He tread away, Chance eyes lowered to the snow before he changed back. My eyes glued to his half naked body that seemed to mesmerize me. Forrest grabbed me away before anything would go wrong and I'm glad he did, just from seeing him got me a little it excited... in some places...

*Silas POV*

"Ugh," I breath as Forrest dragged Milo away, I helped Chance up to his feet, "I hate that damn kid..."
