"Love?"
"Mm-hum." he nodded as I closed my eyes snuggling next to him.
"If you lost Forrest to someone what would you do...?"
"I've already lost him," he mumbled pulling me into a tight hug. "There's nothing I can do, even though I want to...I really want to." His said in almost a cry, "I really do love him..." I nodded again as he kissed my forehead, "And I love you." He snickered as I punched him playfully in the chest.
"I know, I love you too Silas. You're like the big brother I've never had."
"I'm your only big bro," he teased causing me to laugh. "Speaking of which, they found some members of our tribe, and others too. Seems like we weren't the only ones who got attacked."
"Do you think my dad is there...?" I sighed at myself, even if he was I would only feel like shit on top of these other crappy feelings.
"If he is, lets hope Austin doesn't see him." I nodded once more as Silas pulled the cover off of me, "Get some sleep, we'll go eat once you wake." he didn't even have to tell me that, I was already on the verge of falling asleep. And in time, I soon did.
As the moment the meat of the deer hit my tongue, my stomach rumbled pleased with finally getting some food. My mouth watered salivating it as I ground the meat up with my teeth, Silas grinned seeing me as if I was a starving child. I slowed my eating growling inwardly, he brought his hand back, smacking it dead hard on my back nearly killing me, "Eat all you want."
Gagging I soothed my throat with some water wheezing like an idiot, "Are you trying to kill me!?"
"Nope, I was just encouraging!" Removing his arm I turned back to the food that was feasted in front of me. I've been so worried about Milo's health and his emotions towards me, that I haven't even tried to eat. And the fact that Austin was okay with me choosing didn't make this anymore comfortable.
"Silas, can I ask you something...?"
He nodded placing down the bone that was shredded of its meat, "What is it?"
*Austin POV*
"That...it's better if Milo's alive?"
"After that."
"For Chance's sake-" He turned around shifting and dashing off in denial. I knew he didn't really hate Chance...he just better not like him.
"I swear you're a bully," Forrest yawned from the exhaustion the long trip sent us. "I highly doubt Jett could even like guys. He's still madly in love with Thomas's sister."
"Yeah...you have a point there."
*Silas's POV*
I stared at Chance in shock, the words that escaped him were completely unexpected and way off topic! But what was really shocking about it was...his eyes. The way he looked at me, his hazel eyes filled with so many questions to be answered yet so serious. He had completely stopped eating, locking his eyes with mine. I tensed up for the first time at his presence trying to figure out what to say, "I- um... well that's something you'll have to ask Austin-"
