“Chance,”Austinwhispered looking me in the eyes. Ashamed that he’ll be able to read my mind or see the look in my face and know everything I thought, I lowered my head. “How about we go to the west wing forest?”

“For...?”

“Teach you how to shift, well, practice. Since we haven’t had any training lately.”

“What about this tail?”

His warm hands cupped my cheeks in his hand lifting my face up causing hazel to met the mesmerizing icy blue, “We’ll take it with us.”

I laughed standing as he smiled, “Fine.”

“Want to ride me?”

My tail wagged changing the meaning of his offer, “You have no idea.”

“I meant my back Chance,” he pulled me to him embracing me passionately, “But when we find away to remove that mark, you can do it as much as you want.”

A low growl escaped me, just how long would that be? Backing away, he shifted into his wolf, his black fur shinning greatly in beauty. Usually, the old me would curse him in my head out of jealousy but, now… the only thing that flew through my mind was ‘I love him’.

"No, you're suppose to feel a slight change. Your limbs will feel a bit numb, and you're mind will go blank for a bit," Austin informed standing behind me as he leaned against a tree. Nodding I stood there in the snow trying to clear my mind and process the things he told me. You're probably thinking that, what could be so hard about processing thoughts? Well, everything.

"S-sorry!!" I fell to the snow sighing desperately. The cold snow immediately sent a cold vibration through me causing a harsh shiver. "I can't concentrate!!"

The shuffling of feet over the snow didn't alert me, but it did to my heart. I'm sure with 5 more steps closer he could hear this raging heart beat of mine. His warm hand gently brushed over my frozen shoulder as he kneeled down in front of me. I thought he might laugh or be smiling but he wasn't. The serious expression he wore surprised me. "Don't say 'can't' because you can. Just try again and don't give up cause you've done it before so you can do it again."

"But that was on accident..."

“Accident or not, who shifted?” I glanced up searching in his eyes for some sort of confidence but all I found was a caramel skinned boy with curly brown hair sitting in the snow. He looked lost, more than lost, pathetic. I glanced down at the snow not wanting to see what I already knew.

“Um...”
