Fred's head started throbbing. He knew he had gotten into a big hell. It was extremely crazy. Why was she here and how?
"Jayda, I can explain." Fred couldn't think of anything else to say.
The fear of experiencing the same pain stuck Jayda's heart, not in the nice way. It made her heart quiver in its disheveled arena of survival.
Jayda was hurt. It felt like she was reliving her fear. Why the hell did she trust a man when they were all the same?
Jayda didn't bother to reply to Fred but barged to Adalyn, grabbing a handful of her hair then started to yank it.
"How dare you try to make my husband cheat on me? Weren't you satisfied with breaking mine and Charles' relationship? Why did you decide to go as far as ruin my marriage?" Jayda spoke with every pinch of anger forming on her expression and tone. "I wouldn't let you go this time."
Adalyn kept on screaming loudly while Fred just stood still, dumbfounded. He didn't know what to do.
Jayda had determined that she was never going to cry because she was hurt. So, crying was the least thing on her mind right now.
She started slapping Adalyn across the face multiple times which made her very fair skin turn red with Jayda's slaps marks leaving their identities on her face.
"You want to destroy me? Why the fuck are you after me?" Jayda was extremely angered, to the highest peak.
Fred decided to intervene then held her from behind, wrapping his arms around her tightly.
"Are you mad?!" She screamed crazily, struggling with all her strength. "How dare you hurt my feelings?" Her eyes were red and hot with anger and her head was literally on fire.
Due to her furiousness, she used her elbow to hit his stomach really hard then slapped him across the face. She ran to Adalyn before she could fully escape from the office.
"I will not stand you ruining my life every time. Not only did Charles and Fred cheat on me with you, you also took my boyfriends in college and high school. Why?!" She yelled.
"It's probably because none of them need your stupid self, so fuck off!" Adalyn sniggered.
Jayda's anger was overheated on hearing her say that.
"You're not good looking, physically or emotionally," Adalyn let out a maniac laugh.
Fred held Jayda from behind, really tighter this time before his security men ran into his office and he instructed them to take Adalyn away, and to make sure that she never came anywhere close to his company.
Fred finally released Jayda from his grip, granting her the permission to fall to the floor, sitting on it without care.
"Jayda, all that is left now is for you to believe me." Fred squatted to her and said.
"Why did you do this to me?" She wasn't going to cry, she was stronger than those weak tears. "How could you just play with my emotions, make me love you then break my heart? Why are you men all fucking bastards?!" She didn't mind the fact that she was yelling.
"I didn't cheat on you and I promise you that I never will," Fred tried to convince her but she was still ranting, not ready to listen to him.
"If you insist, I'll explain everything to you tomorrow. I just need to sleep." Jayda spoke frigidly, pouring the content of an alcoholic drink bottle (that she had taken from the bar they barely used) and into a glass cup she took from its rack.
Jayda felt a hand hold hers when she lifted the glass of alcohol to gulp it down her throat.
"I was trying to get the CCTV footage because it's pretty obvious that you don't trust me." Fred was sad, angry, happy that he had evidence to prove his innocence, ready to convince her and really broken that her trust for him wasn't strong enough.
"I don't need it." She dismissed.
"What? You have to see it. You can't just question my love for you like that." He frowned.
Jayda hesitantly watched it from his laptop. The video was just as she had pictured in her head. Jayda actually trusted him and knew that Adalyn was the one who caused such a thing to happen. She knew Adalyn quite well.
"Do you believe me now?" He pleaded, seeking for sincerity in her bold grey eyes.
"I believe you." She nodded weakly.
"Really?" Fred didn't expect it to be that easy to convince her but the truth was that deep down in Jayda, she knew that Fred whom she knew couldn't do such a thing to her.
"I love you." He smiled, very touched. He pulled her into a bone-crushing hug. "I promise you that I'm nothing like Charles and I'll never break your heart. I will forever be good to you, forever." He promised.
Jayda finally felt relief wash over her. She really hoped that Fred's words were true because she couldn't stand another harsh breakup.
