A FEW WEEKS LATER
"How are you feeling, sweetheart?" Jeremy's tender voice filled her ears.
A broad smile came on her lips when her boyfriend walked to her where she was watering the garden.
"I think I'm fine now. I was just a little bit tired from the stress of having to deal with Mrs Grumpy during the week." She said, referring to her boss at work.
"I'm very sorry about that. Have you had anything to eat?" He got to her then gave her a kiss on the lips.
"Not yet. I still want to get done with the house chores. I'll water the garden then all that's left will be for me to do the dishes and clean the kitchen as well as my bedroom." She said.
"Okay. Let me help you with those." He held her hips.
"There's definitely no need for that." She retorted then covered her mouth with her hand to yawn.
"Are you sure? Whatever, I'm still helping you out whether or not you like it." He was going to remain adamant.
Freya knew that there was no point in arguing with Jeremy because he was definitely going to win against her.
"You're so adorable." She giggled. She was feeling extremely tired so she sat on a chair to relax while Jeremy finished watering the garden for her.
"It's very obvious that you're really tired so I'll do the rest for you." He offered.
"No, especially not my room." She retorted again. She felt a sharp ache by the left side of her head.
"See?"
"Let's get inside already, shall we?" She held his arms then he pulled her up and they went in.
The duo cleaned the dishes and the kitchen together then she made sure that he didn't enter her room by securing it lock with a key from the inside.
Freya was looking for something the last night so she really scattered her room and her underwear were scattered around her room as well as other things. She was too tired to rearrange everything so she slept in the living room, to arrange it this morning.
Jeremy knocked on her room's door for a while then gave up. She hurriedly arranged the room and made sure it was very neat enough for anyone else that wasn't her to see.
After that, she walked out then showered a smile at him.
"It's not funny. You kept me waiting here all along." He hissed, frowning slightly.
"I'm sorry. You just couldn't get in at the moment." She apologized.
"Why? It's not like you're hiding a very dangerous secret in your room?" He smirked.
"Very funny." She said sarcastically, rolling her eyes.
"I'm hungry. What do you have for us to eat?" He asked her.
"I was thinking of when we should do our engagement ceremony?" He asked. She heaved a sigh of relief.
"Engagement ceremony?" His words only came to her understanding fully.
"Yes." He nodded.
– "but we're not even up to a year in our relationship. We can't get engaged this soon." She blurted out.
"Why not?" He frowned. "We can get engaged as long as we love each other then also get married as soon as possible. I want to be yours completely and I also want you to be mine fully."
"Jeremy, isn't it too soon?" She grumbled.
"No, it's not." He took her hands in his and rubbed his thumbs on her palms.
"Are you sure?" She raised an eyebrow.
"Of course, I'm sure." He huffed. "I want us to get engaged, only the both of us. Like a private party. We'll be the only people present in our engagement ceremony before we fix a date for our wedding and invite as many people as we want. Is that okay by you?" He asked.
"It is. That sounds just right. I love you so much." She hugged him tightly. She was beyond happy on hearing him say that he wanted to marry her. It felt like a dream come true to her.
"Thanks for being the best girlfriend in the world that I'll forever treasure." He kissed her forehead.
