~Three Months Later~
"Where are you going?" Ally asked, folding her arms over her chest with a frown.
"W-what?" Fred stared at her from his phone.
"I asked where you're going!" She exclaimed, in a high-pitched tone. "Don't just 'w- what' me around," she rolled her eyes.
"You have got to be kidding me." He chuckled. "What's up with your authoritative tone again?" He smiled at her lovingly, setting his butt on a couch, right in front of her.
"You're leaving for work, ugh?" She scrunched her face. "Don't you remember that I said, in my school, every child's father has to be present?" She reminded him then he mouthed an "Oh".
"What? You forgot?" She clicked her tongue, shaking her head. "That's why you can never be my real father."
"Ally!" Jayda shouted scoldingly and it made Ally flinch so hard. For a moment, she thought she had a panic attack or something similar to that.
"How dare you speak to Fred in such a manner?" She stormed to her, throwing away the apron from around her body and stood between Ally and Fred.
"Sorry," she forced out an apology. If she wasn't so little, Jayda could have said she was uttering cuss words to herself.
"Get to your room. Fred will take you to school soon. Get ready for school, Mandy (their maid) will help you with that." She instructed. Reluctantly, Ally obeyed her and headed to her room while she frowned.
"I'm sorry about her." She sighed.
Fred smiled warmly at her. "It's nothing. She's our daughter and we'll both train her to become a sweet little angel." Jayda wasn't going to deny the fact that it made her heart flutter when he identified Ally as "our daughter".
"Thank you."
"By the way, I wanted to inform you that I'll be going for a training program, it's very vital to my business. It's a one-year course- or program." He announced.
"What? Why?" She frowned.
"I know it's going to be hard for you, and me. I'll try my best to come see you once in a while even though that'll be very difficult." He sighed.
"Oh, okay." Jayda said, nodding in approval. Deep down in her, she felt like she was going to burst out in tears. How could she stand one year without Fred? Well... all things worked together, for bad or good.

Jayda stood in front of a dressing mirror, turning to her sides to check herself out. She could tell that there were changes in her body, yet another reason to go to Doctor Claire.
She rubbed her hands on the fabric of the black gown on her stomach. Her eyesight was becoming blurry so she sniffed and immediately wiped her tears.
"Well... it's for the best, I think." She assured herself then made herself wear a smile, re-applying makeup on her face to try to brighten it more.
Jayda shut the door to the office then walked to take the seat.
There was a moment of silence between them until Doctor Claire finally decided to speak. "Are you ready to know the results?" She asked in the calmest tone ever.
Reluctantly, Jayda nodded. Wait, what?! Was she really ready to know the results? What if it was too much for her to handle? What if...
Doctor Claire wore her eyeglasses then searched for the envelope in her drawers. Soon enough, she found it then gave it to Jayda.
Jayda nodded then took it, dilatorily talking out the test results from the envelope.
Claire squeezed her eyes shut and nibbled on her lower lips, not in the gentle way, as Jayda read the test results.
Jayda had a straight poker face and it made Doctor Claire very curious to know what she was thinking of.
Jayda sobbed, smiling. "So, you mean..."
"Yes, yes, yes." She nodded her head in confirmation, reducing the tension in shutting her eyes.
"Wow." She chuckled. "I'm not exactly surprised." She shrugged, glancing through the test results again. She wasn't able to control the tears that fell from her eyes anymore.
"I'm really sorry. You know, if you'd come earlier, we would have treated you. Now, your condition is really worse. As the test results show, you have only less than eight months left to live." She said, trying her best not to cry.
