Kevin

PRESENT TIME

My eyes faintly awoke with the usual dark empty feeling looming my insides. As I progressed into my bathroom uninterestingly, I was immediately welcomed by my full length mirror opposite me. Revealing my pathetic status.

My Father was tagged a traitor and I the son of a traitor who had a premature transformation. The once respected Manchester family were now tagged a stain to Greenville Pack.

My palms curled into a fist at that thought. At the same time, my eyes fixated to the mirror again. Reflecting a black Wolf face tattoo on the right side of my chest. And my black royal family tattoo inscribed on my forearms. Roses.

They were a perfect reminder of my Father, a perfect reminder for vengeance.

"Morning mom." I solemnly greeted in my silky voice as I joined her in the small kitchen where she busied herself with the dishes.

"Breakfast is ready." She stated lucidly as she gestured towards the wooden dining. Where Pancakes waved at me. I don't know why, but it brought memories of my father. After my Dad died, we became rogues. I often sneaked back to my old apartment in Greenville Pack. My mind suddenly returned to the time when we used to eat as a family.

The wooden entrance door suddenly creaked open and a brown skinned man quietly ushered himself in.

Uncle Walker.

Walker was my Father's Beta, and ever since his removal, he's been the only one who stood by us. He's also been my secret trainer, preparing me for the Alpha position forcefully taken from us ever since my Father's gruesome death.

"Good Morning, Luna Serene. It's time for Kevin to train." He chirped as he joined us. My mother heaved an heavy sigh.

"I'm no longer Luna, Walker. It's more than ten years." My mother solemnly avowed. Her words so heavy and dosing the pain in my heart.

None of my Pack Members, not even my mother could fight for my Father. They all just watched in despair as the Lycan King installed my step uncle, Jason as the new Alpha. Not only does it disgusts me but it also hurts!

I briskly stormed away from our house, trotting to my secret training room. I inched towards a punching bag with werewolf speed. Throwing several furious punches at the bag. A fate I've vowed to change! Vengeance for my Father.

"Show me what you learned!" Uncle Walker came and said. He trotted towards me with werewolf speed aiming to deliver a blow that will knock me out.

I reacted fast, and running straight towards him. My hand shot out as soon as uncle walker threw it. The sound echoed around the small circle as his fist came in contact with the palm of my hand.

And then his feet rammed me right in the stomach... I stepped back...

I shredded my clothes becoming the wolf, pounced, ready to attack him, but he was faster than me. I jumped knocking him to the side and then Uncle Walker jumped onto me. His claws extended into my sides, making me howl in pain. I bit into his shoulder making him go while. I was thrown off of his back...

Obviously, I won.

"Good job, Kevin! Today's training is over." Uncle Walker smiled at me as he rubbed his shoulder.

I nodded and went back home, greeted by the beautiful sun.

Our house was only few kilometers away from Greenville Pack. My Werewolf hearing could pick some of my former Pack Members chatters.

I continued to revel under cold comfort as I smoked my cigarette.

"You're a Rogue. What Pack did you belong to?" I toned as I held her gaze.

"I was exiled from Greenville." She stated. I scrutinized the look on her face, listening to her heartbeat whilst. But she wasn't lying.

"Why?" I couldn't help but ask.

"It's kind of complicated. For refusing the Alpha's son."

My eyes flickered in discrete annoyance. Secretly cursing how Alpha Jason exiles his members for different absurd reasons.

"Can you please escort me home. I'm scared of being attacked again."

"What's your name?" I asked as we progressed on a lonely path. Side by side

"Rose."

"I'm Kevin." I uttered before taking a puff. "So how long have you been exiled?"

"Two years I think." My eyes widened whilst anger started to surge within me. An innocent soul like her was being punished all because of a stupid reason.

But my thoughts tousled when I noticed a large presence surround us metres away. They were Rogues, dressed shabbily in black with icy glares solely based on me. I took a brief glimpse at Rose, she was smiling at them.

I frowned. Maybe this girl wasn't an innocent soul like I thought. And from the looks of it, this looked like a perfect set up plan. An ambush against me!
