"I've never seen anyone this excited to train before." He chuckles before finally setting me back on the ground, his hands hold onto me for an extra moment before letting go. "When do you want to start?"
"Now!" I reply immediately. He just chuckles slightly, sending a mind link the rest of the pack before he leads me outside into the backyard. I see the twins instantly, they seem to be fighting over something and the girls are nearby whispering and chuckling to themselves.
"I do not!" I hear Damon yell once we're in hearing range.
"Do too. I share a room with you I can ALWAYS hear you." Dylan says, rolling his eyes. I have to stop the chuckle from leaving my lips at their exchange.
"Whoa whoa whoa! Someone explain to me what is going on here?" Ethan calls out to them, making all four of their gazes focus on us as we make our way toward them.
"Well Damie Wamie here was caught watching a musical at two in the morning last night, but now he won't own up to it." Dylan smirks and Damon growls. A smile form's on my lips as I stand back and listen.
"Was not!" Damon yells back defensively. The chuckle I've been holding in finally slips out and I burst into laughter. Their eyes are all on me now as I struggle to contain myself. I hadn't laughed like this in God knows how long. I feel comfortable, like I've known them forever but really I barely know them.
"Whoa there Jae Bae calm down before you hurt yourself." Damon says in a sing-song voice, chuckling. When I quit laughing suddenly I see all of them still staring at me.
"Jae bae?" I repeat coldly. It was one of the many nicknames that Andrea used to call me. The thought of her fills me with sadness. Her and my mom are the only ones I regret leaving. I loved them with all my heart, I with there had been another way.
I look up at them again, trying to hide my pain. "Well let's get training!" I say, changing the subject. They all seem to snap out of it and begin spreading out to begin. Their concerned expressions still on their faces, but they don't ask. Hope fills me as I look around at these people. They could be my family one day. The thought of them becoming my family had my heart filling with joy. Maybe I could start over.
