After a few minutes, I managed to enter that state of calm that I haven't felt for a long time now. My mind immediately delved into the crystal before me, allowing me to instantly appear into what seemed like the galaxy with its many vibrant stars.
As I gazed around at the many blinding lights that glowed against the dark background, I frowned. Hesitation danced inside of me as I thought of what I was doing. I couldn't help the brief glint of hatred that flashed across my mind.
Reluctantly, I called out, "Hello? Is there anyone there? My name is Ezmira Franchild no... Ezmira Williams and I'm one of the last Divinities alive. I have a situation and I really need your help. Please."
There was no response.
Just unnerving silence.
My heart clenched tightly as I continued to urge, "I've never asked anything of you before now... Anyone... just any God... please answer this child's plea."
Suddenly, the world around me shook as the stars began to pulse more brightly... and to my utmost surprise, I got an answer.
"Child..." A soft and soothing voice suddenly rang in my ears.
My eyes brightened as I hurriedly replied, "This child awaits your guidance."
"Save her..." The voice uttered again.
"How do I save her? I need your help telling me where she is!"
"The balance... is... shift... ing."
I frowned at that and suddenly got a strange feeling as if I was being told something completely different to what I was looking for. This wasn't the time for such ridiculousness. If anything, they should be talking to the bastards that stole my people's gift. I'm sure they'd save 'her' better than I ever could.
"My Goddess, can you help me find Bea?"
The world suddenly trembled once more, and my head got slightly dizzy.
"We... are... angry..."
"Angry? Who's angry?" I asked in alarm. If anything, I should be angry. I muttered bitterly in my mind.
"Our... words... are not... being adhered to."
"What are you talking about? What words?"
"We... disappointed... people," the voice began filtering in and out as the dizziness got worst.
Our time was coming to an end.
"Fix... mess."
