It was an interrogation room. After interrogating her on what happened to Bea, Axil left her there in case something unexpected happened.

The officer suggested he join us as a safety measure, but I instantly brushed him aside, saying that I could handle it on my own.

The door closed behind Liza and I with a soft thud.

My eyes immediately strayed towards the elder that was sitting at the table in the middle of the room. Her hands were propped up on the table as she played with her fingers nervously, her eyes glazed as she listened in on the pack's link in what was probably hopes of them finding Bea.

I could tell by just a glance that she wasn't involved in the abduction.

I cleared my throat and watched as her eyes snapped back into focus and met mine.

"Luna!" Came her startled cry as she stood up from her seat and bowed.

I waved a hand dismissively. "There's no need for that. I just want to confirm some things. I know you were already questioned by the Alpha and Beta, but I would like to ask a bit more."

Fiona eagerly replied, "Of course! You can ask me anything, and I'd try my best to respond. I swear I had nothing to do with Bea's abduction! I loved the sweet little girl, and I barely left her alone for a second before she suddenly went missing. There's no way that another person could so easily escape my sharp senses I swear on my lif-"

I smiled, reassuringly, and cut her off, gesturing towards the table, "I know. I know you're telling the truth, so you don't have to be so on edge. We won't punish you for something you played no part in. Please have a seat."

She hesitated slightly before she sat down and looked at us anxiously. Liza went to sit on the seat opposite her as I remained standing. She remained silent and allowed me to do my thing.

"At what time was Bea said to have gone missing?"

"It was around 10 o'clock."

"Where were you during that time?"

"I was in the living room cleaning up. We had just finished painting our nails," she smiled slightly as she raised a hand and showed us the bright mismatched colors on her fingernails, "I had left her in her room because she said that she was feeling sleepy. She was already tucked in with her eyes closed when I left to go clean up."

I frowned. "Did you sense anything? Smell anything? Felt like anything was strange in any way?"

Fiona shook her head with pursed lips as she tried to remember, "There was nothing out of the ordinary."

"Are you sure? Anything at all, even if it might have seemed insignificant at the time. Something normal kids would say or do..." I probed.

Her eyes lighted up as she thought of something, "There is one thing... Bea told me that she had an imaginary friend."

My stomach fell as Liza's face went pale.

I raised an eyebrow at her, "You watch supernatural shows day in and day out. I won't be surprised your twisted mind could actually connect the dots."

Liza smiled sheepishly at first and then glared when my words registered, "whose mind is twisted!?"

I waved her away, "Focus. We've gotta figure out what's going on. So, he purposely told you that he was there, but how was he there?"

"You don't know that?" Liza asked in surprise.

I shrugged my shoulders and said guiltily, "I wasn't the most... studious person back then. I can't possibly remember so many spells."

Liza facepalmed, "Jesus, Ezzy!"

I argued defensively, "it's not about if I recognized the spell! Let's go back to the house so I can search more. Maybe I'll find something that way."

We spoke to the officers and allowed them to free Fiona. Although Axil, who was keeping track of my movements, had a few officers trailing us to be on the safe side. He wanted to join in as well, but he had to deal with the frantic Dawson, who refused to listen to reason as he continued to blindly search.

The house was a small cute little cottage like house that was newly built for Fiona to live in. It was painted a lovely red and was surrounded by a white picket fence. Since she lived alone, Fiona figured that taking in a few orphaned kids wouldn't be a problem to her at all, so she had already began renovating a few rooms into kids' rooms.
