Layla POV:
The next morning, I was surprised to see Lucas sitting at the table. He was fuming.
"What's going on?" I asked. "Mom and Dad invited the Fishers over for dinner tonight. My eyes widened in shock and I began to get nervous. "Why?" I asked.
Lucas snorted before answering. "I figured you'd be happy. Since your mate will be here." He said.
I sighed. "Are you ready to leave?" I asked him. He didn't say anything. He just stood up and headed for the door.
Lucas and I have never fought this long. It's been three fucking days and he still won't stop with the snarky comments.
When I got to school, I noticed that Sin wasnt there. When I walked around the corner, I heard something coming from the janator's closet.
When I opened the door, my heart fell to my stomach.
Cindy had Sin against the wall with her hands up his shirt.
"Sin?" I asked weakly. He pushed Cindy away quickly. "Layla, I swear this isn't what it looks like!" I said panicking.
"Don't lie to her, baby. You're the one that brought me in here." She said smirking. "You lying bitch!" He yelled at her and turned back to me.
"Layla, please. I love you so much. I swear, I was pushing her away." He said and hugged me tight but I shoved him off of me.
"You think after everything, I would believe that?" I asked as tears streamed down my face. "Baby, I love you. I promised I would never hurt you again. She came to me! I swear!" He begged.
I shook my head and ran away from him.
I soon ran into Adrien. "Hey, what happened?" He asked. I started to sob into his chest as he held onto me.
"Layla!" Sin called, running after me. Adrien growled and pushed me behind him. "What have you done?" He asked him. "I didn't do anything. Layla baby, please believe me." He begged me.
"Come on." Adrien said, pulling me away.
When I got to class, Adrien sat next to me. I saw Sin walk in and start to walk toward me.
The Luna, LaurieAnne, stood and hugged me. "How are you?" She asked me. "I'm just fine, Luna. Thank you."
The dinner was awkward for me because Sin sat there watching me, the entire time.
"Layla? Is everything okay?" Dad asked me. I faked a small smile to him. "I'm fine, daddy." I replied.
I went to my room after I finished eating. I didn't want to face him anymore.
I heard a light knock on my door and saw Sin step inside. Except it wasn't Sin. His eyes were glowing bright green. His wolf was in control.
"Hey, baby." He said softly. I knew his wolf was faithful to me.
"Hey." I said weakly. "Can we talk?" His wolf asked. I nodded and sat on my bed, with him kneeling down in front of me.
"I know you're upset, Layla. You really need to listen though, okay?" He asked me softly. "Okay." I whispered. He smiled softly and kissed me, surprising me before he talked.
"He wasn't lying, baby. Cindy really did drag him in that closet. He told her to stop but she wouldn't listen." Sins wolf said. "What?" I asked him. "He loves you. I love you. Don't give up on us, baby. Please."
