Layla POV:

It's been a week since my mom and dad forbid me from seeing Sin, and it's hard. He hasn't marked me yet, so we haven't been able to link. I miss him like crazy.

I walked down to the kitchen after getting dressed, seeing Lucas with mom.

"Where's dad?" I asked. "He and Alpha Jack are in a meeting." Lucas replied.

"We invited him and his family over for dinner tonight." Mom continued and I began to perk up.

"Does that mean Sin is coming?" I asked. Mom smiled softly at me. "Yes, baby. I know you miss him. I don't like him but he's your mate and you need him." She replied. I jumped out of my seat and hugged her. Thank you, momma." I said.

"Layla." Alpha Jack said with a smile on his face as he followed my father into the kitchen. I smiled back at him before answering. "Hello, Alpha Jack. It's good to see you again." "It's good to see you too. Sin really misses you." Jack replied.

Thinking of Sin made my face fall slightly. "I miss him, too." I replied.

The look on dad's face wasn't a happy one. He hated Sin more than anything but he knew he had to get over it.

I saw Sin at school a couple of hours later. He rushed to me, picking me up as soon as he reached me, making me laugh.

"Great. My folks said I could see Sin again outside of school again." Sandy gave me a smug smile. "I know." She said. "What's going on?" I asked slowly. "None ya!" She said and turned to her food. "Man, that's not fair. Now you have to tell me." I whined. "Sorry 'bout your luck, sweet cheeks." Sandy replied, sticking her tongue out at me. "Bitch." I mumbled. "Hoe." She retorted, causing us both to laugh.

"I love that laugh." I heard Sin whisper in my ear as he sat next to me, causing me to blush. "How was your day?" I asked him. "Lame." He replied. "Why?" I asked, tilting my head slightly. "You weren't there." He replied.

"Gag!" Sandy called out. I threw one of my fries at her. "Shut your face." I told her. "Meanie." She replied.

"I have something to show you after dinner tonight." Sin told me. I looked over at Sandy who only winked.

"What is it?" I asked, looking back at him. He smiled down at me. He apparently loves my curiosity. "You'll see, tonight baby." He said before kissing me.
