The day of the ceremony:

Sin POV:

"Sin?" I heard my father's voice from behind me. "You okay?" He asked. I tried to smile but it vanished just as quick as it came.

"I'm scared, dad. I'm afraid I can't protect my pack. I'm afraid I won't be able to protect Layla. I've never been more scared in my life." I told him.

"I felt the same way when my day came to step up as alpha, but we turned out okay, right?" Dad asked. "What if I fail?" I asked. "You won't. I believe in you, son." He replied.

Layla POV:

"I can't do this. I can't do this." I repeated over and over. "Layla Rae Cross, will you sit your butt down? This pacing back and forth is killing me." Sandy said.

"Hey man, screw you. Do you have any idea how fucking scared I am right now? Not only me, but I can feel Sins anxiety too which is making this ten times harder." I snapped.

"Layla." My dad said before placing his hands on my shoulders. "You're going to be fine." He continued. "It's not like your getting married." Lucas added. "Dude. This is a much bigger deal than that. Just wait, mother fu-"

"Layla!" My mother shouted. "Yes, the is nerve wracking, but Layla, you are so strong willed. You're not afraid of anything. I know you can do this." She continued.

I saw my aunt Ellie walk in a moment later. "It's time." She said.

"Mom.." I said uneasily. "We're right here." She told me before leading me to the podium.

Sin stepped up to the podium before kissing my cheek softly. "It won't take long." He whispered to me.

After a few hours of all the wolves welcoming me to the pack, I turned to my parents.

"We're so proud of you, baby." Dad said before hugging me. He took a deep breath before looking at me. "I'm gonna go before your mother gets all teary eyed on me." He said before turning quickly.

Mom sighed dramatically before hugging me. "I swear, your daddy is more emotional than me." She said. "Do you really think I can do this mom?" I asked. "Yes, baby. I do. I know you can." She said.

Lucas walked up to me and hugged me. I'm so proud of you little sis." He said. "You're 3 minutes older than me!" I said crossing my arms. "Yeah whatever." He replied and smiled at me.

I felt Sin walk up and kiss my cheek. "You look like you could use some rest." He said softly.

I smiled up at him before wrapping my arms around him. I was scared but I knew this was where I'm meant to be. Standing by my mate's side, being the best Luna I could possibly be.
