Charlie POV:
I woke up the next morning to the feeling of someone peppering kisses on my shoulder. It took me a few seconds but then I realized it was Lucas.
"Morning." He said groggily. I smiled up at him when he opened his eyes. "Morning." I whispered.
"We have to get ready. Our plane leaves in a couple of hours." Lucas told me.
I had honestly never had a better night's sleep. I didn't wake up to my bedroom door being pounded on or dragged out of bed. I had finally gotten a full eight hours of sleep.
When we boarded our plane, I was nervous. I sat next to Lucas, trembling slightly.
"Nervous?" He asked as he took my hand. "I've never been on a plane before." I admitted. "It's not that bad. The flight is only about three hours." He said.
On the car ride back to meets Lucas's parents, I began to get nervous again. They were very well respected and I was so afraid they would hate me.
"Don't be nervous, beautiful. Everything will be fine." Lucas assured me.
After about an hour ride, Lucas lead me into his parents home.
"Mom? Dad?" He called out.
Soon after, a woman walked into the room. She had black hair and blue eyes. She was very beautiful.
"Hi, sweetheart, who's this?" She asked. "Mom, this is Charlie. She's my mate." Lucas said.
Suddenly the woman's face lit up. "Oh my." She said and hugged me. I was stuff for a moment before lightly hugging her back.
"It's so nice to meet you, honey." She said looking me up and down. "You're so beautiful!" She said happily.
A smile slowly rose on my lips. "Thank you." I replied.
"I'm Sadie. You must be the surprise Lucas told me about." She told me. "Yes, she is. Where's dad and Layla?" Lucas asked.
"Your father is in the shower and Layla is on her way with Sin and Lana." His mother said.
Lucas groaned loudly. "Does Sin really have to come?" Lucas asked.
She had an adorable baby I'm her arms.
"You must be Charlie." She said, reaching her hand out. I smiled and shook her hand. "Yes." I said before smiling at the baby.
"Is this Lana?" I asked before getting a better look. "Yes it is." Layla said, smiling down at the little girl.
"She's beautiful." I told her. "Thank you." Layla replied before smiling back to me.
"Let's eat!"
The look on Lucas's face told me it was Sin's voice.
"Sin.." Lucas said bitterly when he walked into the kitchen. "Lucas." Sin replied, paying no attention.
I sat next to Lucas again and smiled at him. He was right. His family was wonderful. No one had ever been so welcoming to me. I was extremely lucky to have Lucas as my mate.
Everything I went through, lead me here and I would do it all again.
