Charlie POV:
I woke up to the smell of bacon and eggs the next morning. Breakfast that I didn't have to cook? This is weird for me.
When I walked into the kitchen, I found Lucas at the stove.
"Good morning." I said softly, making him turn to face me.
He smiled when he saw me and kissed my cheek. "Morning, beautiful. You hungry?" Lucas asked.
"A little." I replied. "Good. Can't eat this by myself can I?" Lucas asked and winked. "I'm sure you could." I said and laughed lightly.
"Oh! Damn, I almost forgot. My sister and mother want to spend some time with you today." Lucas said, making my eyes light up. "Really?" I asked.
His family is so kind to me. I've known them for a day and already feel that they are more like family than my blood.
"Yeah. Is that okay?" He asked me. "I'd love to. They have treated me more like family in just the day I've known them, than my real family." I told him.
"Just because you're blood, it doesn't mean you're family. They are two different things." He said, before kissing my cheek.
I had never thought of it that way before.
"After we eat, we'll go to my parent's house and meet up with everyone."
When we arrived at Lucas's family home, Sadie and Layla were outside, playing with Lana.
Lucas instantly picked up the little pup and cooed at her. "Hi, baby girl." He said with a smile on his face.
"Are you up for a girl's day, Charlie?" Layla asked, causing me to smile. "Yes. What are we doing?" I asked. "Thought we might shop a little and go out to eat. It's mom's birthday." She replied.
"Happy birthday." I said to Lucas's mother. "Thank you, honey. Is everyone ready?" Layla and I both nodded.
"Don't ruin my child, Lucas!" Layla called out. "Screw you, Layla! Have fun Charlie!" He called back.
"Hey, you must be Charlie." He said shaking my hand.
"This is Adrien, my best friend and your beta." Layla told me. I smiled at him. "Nice to meet you Adrien." I replied.
"Hey, beautiful." Lucas said, kissing my cheek. We've only kissed once and I know it's because he doesn't want to push me too far.
"Hey." I said, smiling. "Did you have fun?" He asked. "Yes, I did." I replied.
"I might need you to model some of those new clothes for me." Lucas said, winking at me before walking to the kitchen. I looked down and blushed wildly.
"You've got my boy wrapped around your little finger already." Sadie said, laughing. I looked at her and smiled.
"Can I tell you something?" I asked. "Of course." She replied.
I bit my lip before responding. "I think I'm already in love with him." I told her.
