Silence.

All through our drive home Angel refused to utter a single word. She refused to look at me. I wasn't even bothered. I didn't want to talk either. I was still on edge.

We were both out of it. Both drunk in our own way but the scene I caused seem to sober us up a little.

And I must confess, I still want to ram my fist at anything. Better if it were that bastard's face.

He called my baby a whore! He deserved to die for just that alone.

"Maybe this said scum knows how to satisfy her more than you can"

"I bet you can't make her feel that way even if you were buried deep inside her..."

I kept remembering those words. I was going nuts with rage for reasons not clear to me.

She is my daughter. So His words are of no significance.

But yet they make me boil. Maybe its cause he had disrespected Angel by saying those words.

Maybe I was mad because I knew he was right. I saw her reactions to his every touch. It hurts that while he had a chance, I didn't. I wouldn't ever. I was so lost in my own thoughts I didn't realise that we had gotten home till the driver said so.

Taking in deep breath, I came down, making my way into the house and heading straight for the kitchen. I needed to forget. I needed a drink.

It was no surprise when I found Angel already sited on the kitchen counter getting wasted.

"I think you have had enough for one night" I told her.

"Really? Just leave me be" she said in a cold tone.

"What if I don't want to?" I countered. Looking her dead in the eyes.

"Then I'll leave." She said standing up and progressing to the door.

"Don't walk out on me!" I said grabbing her by the wrist and pulling her towards me. Caging her between my arms. I was shaking. Either from rage or pleasure of having her this close, I didn't no. I didn't care.

"Let go of me!" She said, kicking and struggling. That did nothing to loosen my grip. I just held her tighter.

Fuck! she smelled so edible. I buried my face at the crook of her neck causing her to still.

"Angel..."I breathed on her. Earning me a shiver.

"You shouldn't have come with me tonight. You shouldn't have looked. You should have danced with me from the on set if you didn't want any of it to happen. She said cutting me mid sentence.

"So it's my fault?" I asked. "You asked me to come with you. You are my child! How do I not look!" I said out of breath.

"I don't know why I bother. I thought you cared. It seemed like it this morning. But I guess it's all in my head." I sounded tired..defeated.

"Dad I.." She began

"Just hand me the beer. I need to shut my brain out." I told her.

"Dad just–" she tried again

"Angel, I don't want us to remember today like this. Let's just pretend this night never happened" I said grabbing the beer from her and heading to my room.

"maybe this said scum knows how to satisfy her more than you can..."

I wasn't gonna get that bastard's voice and words out of my head anytime soon.

This is gonna be one long night.
