It's been two months since I left Jack's place. I don't know if I made the right decision, all I know is that I need him to fight for me, for us, for our love. We won't last a second if he doesn't.
News of his dissolved engagement with Nora is all over the place. I feel somewhat bad for him cause he's now being followed by paparazzi all day long which is something he hated and tried his best to avoid. But I would not deny the joy I feel knowing he's finally setting things straight.
This few weeks have been awesome. As I realised nothing beats spending time with family. My aunt's kids are nothing but adorable. Their constant bickering, cute laughs and pure innocent hearts has me wishing they'll stay this care free forever, not having to worry about a thing .
We girls have had a few nights out. Hitting every club, bar and concert there is.
Going out for movies, to the spa... gosh! my aunt and grams sure know how to have fun.
It's different today though, it's a date night and I'm left out. They tried setting me up on blind dates this past months but it never went well. I had gotten frustrated and decided enough is enough.
So here I am, at a bar all alone, observing my surroundings. But soon my mind drift to a certain man with soft black locks, an entrancing pair of hazel eyes , rippled muscles and mischievous smirk. The man I love more than life itself...
He says he loves me, I don't doubt his love, but I doubt his reasons. First, we need to find ourselves.
I want to rediscover and focus on me.
Dad has not for once seized calling for the past two months. Every day he'd call, text and sometimes make appearances at mum's doorstep.
For the first month, I ignored him, but later on decided to go easy on my old man.
I miss him, it kills me to see him so lost, to have him so close and for me to act so cold. If mum noticed the tension between us, she said nothing about it which I'm quite thankful for. I don't know what I'd have told her. I have never succeeded at lying to her, she always finds out.
I was thinking of getting a job around the neighborhood now that I'm studying online, but I know My family would strongly disagree. My grandma most expecially won't consent to it. She alsways says she'll never understand the idiology of having this much money and still living such a "low class" life style.
She already allowed dad get away with so much, she wasn't going to let me follow his steps.
I remember what she always told dad;
"You work your pretty ass out all year round to make this much money Jack, would it hurt you to spent some of it on yourself? Learn to spoil yourself a little, you owe it not only to yourself but the public and to our name. It's our legacy."
But dad never did listen, which enraged mum. So imagine how my mum would react when she discovers her grandchild is planning on taking a job at good knows where.
I remember her telling me once;
"We ain't no job seekers love, we are job creators, the part finders, you'd do well to remember that"
I was too deep in thought that I didn't realize that I had company till he taped my shoulder.
"Sorry Miss, I know this is random, but will you do me a favour ?"he asked, looking like he'll much rather be anywhere else but in my presence asking for favours.
He was a tall, slightly built male with gray eyes and copper coloured hair, long lashes and full brows, he had a face that look like that of a model, very detailed with that kind of natural conture and highlight, yet jaw line, and calculating eyes showed that rigid, slightly sharp features that's says otherwise. There was no Denying his good looks. Someone like him was sure to be a charmer .
He was putting on a grey tight fitting, short sleeve v-neck that accentuated his eyes and a black jeans. All in all he didn't look threatening, so I answered;
"Sure, if it's within my power."
"Uhmm...the thing is, my friends over there dared me to kiss a female in this bar for a duration of five seconds." he said, pointing to a table on the far left of us were about five people were sitted.
"I'm so sorry, it sounded better in my head. Now I feel stupid. Never mind" he spoke again after noticing my astonishment.
I was startled. Seeing him turn to take is leave, I found my voice and decided to ask;
"Why would they dare you to do that?"
He didn't need to answer, but he chose to.
" Ah, the thing is I'm gay..." He drawled out.
"Oh..." I began to say.
"Why not just refuse the dare?"
I asked confused.
Because I'll have to foot their bills for a year, if I don't do it, trust me, they might not look like it, but there live quite an expensive lifestyle. Plus if I fail to pay for their expenses even for a day, they have this really embarrassing photo of mine they vowed to show everyone at school." He explained.
"They must be mean." I concluded.
He surged , lips curling into a smile before saying " I'm beginning to have my doubts on that issue"
"And are you really into women?" He countered with a raised eyebrows
I smiled before answering
"Wouldn't you love to know?" I answered with a smirk, making him shake his head at my tactics as he chuckled.
" You don't play fair " he mused.
I only smiled back as a reply, drinking down the rest of my drink as I decided it was time to leave.
"It was nice knowing you. I hope you get a few extra points from your friends with this performance cause you definitely got one from me." I told him.
"I'll be taking my leave now." I announced, grabbing my purse from the bar and turning around to leave.
"Oh no, don't just leave, at least let me know your name or have your number. I'll love for you to hang out with me and my friends sometime" he persuaded
"Oh, I'm Angel." I told him.
" I'm Maxwell. Here's my complimentary card call me when you're free and wanna Hangout." He said.
I took the card, shaking my head at his tactics.
"It's was nice knowing you tonight Max. Till we meet again, bye." I said taking my leave.
"I'll be waiting for your call love." He called after me.
"I wouldn't if I were you." I called back with a wide grin on my face.
Getting out side of the bar, I take another look at the card, with a smile on my face.
Well, tonight didn't turn out so bad.
