I'm beginning to remember why I always hated school.
After what felt like a millennium, I finally found the stupid class
I'm going back to the office for help after this class.
When I walked into the class it was nothing I expected. You could tell that the teacher stepped out for a while because the scene in front of me was pretty dysfunctional. I slowly close door making sure not to disturb...whatever it is that they were doing. The only thing I can do right now is to find a seat and try to be as invisible as possible. This life was not for me and I couldn't wait for the next five months to pass because I just wanted to get the hell out.
I spotted a seat at the near back and I went right to it and sat down. Just when I thought that I was not noticed, some idiot guy next to me sold me out.
"Hey guys, I think we have a newbie!" he said, probably to his friends. The next thing I knew, a group of guys were surrounding me like a hawk stalking its prey. I scoffed in disbelief and crossed my arms.
Isn't this just my luck?
My first day and I'm already being harassed. Great. What else could interfere with my 'Hanna Being Transparent' plan?
"So what's your name?" Idiot guy asked and I ignored him. "Oh c'mon, don't you know that ignoring someone is rude."
I don't know why but for some reason I could feel a smirk forming on his face and I couldn't help but get let it get to me. I didn't need to look at his face to know, his voice said it all. I didn't want to but I couldn't help but give into temptation.
"Why don't you just gather up your little guy friends and leave me alone." I started, my tone bored. "It's the least you can do for annoying me with your presence. If I wanted you to know my name, I would have told you by now." I stated coldly. I could hear his friends laughing at this comment and I felt nothing but pride that I turned this game on him.
"You're a feisty little one aren't you?" he said, unaffected to my dismay. "Just the way I like 'em. And don't worry, with some time, I'll get rid of that little attitude of yours."
I knew he was only baiting me in but I couldn't ignore that last comment. I'm going to tell this guy off once and for all.
"I'm gonna show feisty alright," I said matter-of-factly. I turned to him. "If you don't-" I stopped midway, shocked as his face became familiar in my mind.
It's him.
Holy freaking hell! It's him!
"If I don't, what?" he smirked.
"You're that guy I almost killed three weeks ago," I said astonishingly.
"Hello again to you too."
"You mean you're the girl that hit him with a car?" one of his friends said. He had short black hair and dark olive skin. He was good-looking too; they all were. But it's not like those words would ever leave my subconscious. Right now, they were all just a hurdle in my life. "We would have lost that game if he didn't recover, so everyone probably would have hated you."
"Yeah, we pretty much would have been screwed if he didn't show up at the last minute." another one said. "Cocky bastard."
Idiot guy smirked at his friend's comment and then turned me. I looked him up and down and then directed my gaze to the front of the class.
Wait, did I just say I like school now? You know what? I think I am losing my mind.
I notice that he suddenly pulled away, a look of satisfactory on his face.
"What?" I asked, but he just shrugged. He crossed his arms and smirked.
Gosh, did this guy never smirk?
"Nothing...Hanna."
My eyes widen in shock.
He...he knew my name? How did he know my name!
I was almost convinced that this guy was a psychic and if it wasn't for my schedule half sticking out from my books, I would have believed it too. It was when he was leaning over to me that he must have seen it. He was just trying to see my name the entire time. That sneaky son of a bìtch!
I glared at him and faced the class again. I'm just going to ignore him. No matter what he says, I'm not going to look.
"C'mon Hanna, don't be like that." he tried. I paid him no mind, apparently finding my fingernails interesting. "Alright, fine. If it makes you feel any better, My name is Sage."
Okay, I looked at him. I just had this thing where I had to see people's face when they said their name or I won't remember it at all. I'm just weird like that.
