"I thought we agreed on not killing anyone!"

"I said you couldn't, I didn't say I won't." I watched as her ass swayed from side to side.

Yep. I'm one lucky bastard alright.

I walked with Adam inside, and I could already guess what he was about to say.

"So when are you gonna tell Sage?" He asked.

"I don't know. Probably when all this mess is over." I mumble.

"You know he's gonna tear you apart when he finds out right?"

"Yep. But hey, we all have to die eventually right?"

"You're ridiculous man." he shook his head.

Sage POV

Waking up, I winced as I felt a sharp pain in my jaw. Caressing it, I sat up from what felt like the couch as everything came back to me. I cradle my head in my hands in shame, as I thought about what I wanted to do to Nichole. I was glad Scott was there to stop me. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I'd hurt her. But I just couldn't help it. The thought of Hanna being in trouble like that just made me go insane.

I don't like what this girl is doing to me. It kills me how much control she had over me. Imagine what the guys must think? I'm going to be Alpha one day and I can't keep a cool head about my mate being missing. How am I suppose lead an entire pack if I can't handle this?

Sometimes I think everyone would be better off if Dad stayed Alpha...

"Rise and shine Sagey wagey!" Nichole cooed, sticking her head in the living room. "Is the craziness still in your system?" she smiled, walking over to me.

"Ha ha ha," I frowned. "I don't get why you're calm about this. I could have killed you." I muttered, not looking her in the eye.

"But I'm still alive, aren't I?" she says smartly, and it just pissed me off knowing what she was trying to do.

"I could have killed you, Nichole!" I glared at her. "I wanted to kill you. What if Scott hadn't recovered in time?" I stood up. "What if I'd got a hold of you?"

"You wouldn't because-" she automatically clamped her lips together. I shot her a confused look.

"Because, what?"

"Nothing." she said biting her lip, which only led me to believe she was hiding something.

"I can tell when you're lying, you know?" I said matter-of-factly. "You make it too easy."

"Well," she said, her voice stoic. "I don't think I should be the one to tell you."

"I can't sense anyone near the house. But mainly because I felt a couple of them shift ten minutes ago. So how's it going?"

"Nothing yet."

A feeling overcame me after he said that... I hate this feeling.

"But we'll find her." he then added.

I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "It's not finding her I'm worried about, its the feeling that I won't be there in time."

"Sage, would you just relax?" he gripped my shoulders. "We'll find her in time," he reassured.

If only I could believe him. It sounds so simple, so simple coming from him. But if only that comfort got to me. I can only blame myself for what happened to her because I should have never let her walk out that night.

Hanna POV

"Tell him! Tell him to come now!" he choked me. He had that crazed look in his eyes that all lunatics muster. I guess my stubbornness finally got to him.

"I can't!" I forced out. I never said I was going to make this easy for him. I wasn't going to lead Sage here to his death. If he was going to kill me then by all means, what do I have to live for? But I couldn't let him kill Sage, he didn't deserve it.

"Of course you can! You're his mate, just send your stupid little feelings through the bond!"
