"I shouldn't have to tell you, right? You should know."
"What do you mean?"
She sighed in frustration and took my hand from her face. She sat in one of the corners of her room and just looked at me.
"You said you know me better than anybody else and still you didn't catch on. Haven't you noticed the signs? Didn't they make you wonder? Why every time we go out I always throw up after we eat? Why I'm always tired every time you want to hang?" she sniffed and took a deep breath before continuing. "Why I started eating way more than I usually? Mike and Devin notice, but you didn't. I didn't have a bug, Scott. I'm not tired and it's not because I'm a werewolf that I ate that much-"
"You're pregnant."
She nodded. "And Sage knows, that's why he's pissed off. And he thinks you know but didn't tell him."
I walked over to her, wrapped up in her little corner. As I watch as the sobs shook her body, I couldn't help but hate myself for not knowing. This one secret was causing everyone pain and it kind of made me realize what Jason's words meant to her.
You shouldn't keep secrets, my little niece, they hurt people
"That's what he meant."
She looked up at me in confusion.
"Jason."
"Oh. Yeah."
"You could have told me."
"It's not that easy. I really want to tell from the beginning but things kept popping up. I haven't even told my parents yet. And what am I gonna do about school? I can't keep going when I look like a whale! And then college-"
"Hey, hey, relax. It'll be okay. We'll figure something out and we'll be fine, alright?"
"Okay." she smiled and I kissed her lips.
"Now, let's go to bed my little pregnant shewolf." I said in a perfect Englishman accent.
"Of course kind sir." she began to laugh when I tossed her on the bed. I soon joined her and dragged the covers over us and pulled her into my chest. "I love you, Scott."
Every time she says those words, my heart speeds up.
"I love you too."
"Oh and by the way," she said after a while. "my dad's gonna kill you when he finds out." she giggled when she felt my body tense.
Let the sleepless nights begin.
Mike POV
Relax, just go in there. She's your mate. Just grow some balls and go talk to her! What's the worst that can happen?
"She can reject you," My wolf says.
"Really? You say that?"
"Well, you're not making a move. What do you expect?"
"Just shut up!"
"I know you're there. Please go away."
Ignoring her plea, I opened the door to she her looking out the window.
"I like reading and dancing...and soccer. I wanna to make it to the FIFA World Cup one day."
"Really?" I asked, slowly taking her hand. "How good are you?"
"Well, probably better than you."
"Huh? Cocky aren't we?"
She chuckled and rolled her eyes at me. "I'm just competitive."
Wait, did she just laugh?
"Ha! I made you laugh!"
"I'm guessing you've just completed your life's goal." she laughed. "Congratulations."
"Wow! Twice in one night! You must really like me. And you have a beautiful smiled, by the way."
"Thanks."
Hanna POV
"C'mon Nichole. I have to go home sometime."
"But you can stay. My parents don't mind. My mom already loves you."
"Yeah, but that doesn't mean I can. I don't have any clothes or any of my stuff-"
"If that's the problem we can stop by at your house today after school! Oh my gosh this is perfect! This way we can hang out all the time. And Katelynn gonna come and we can have sleepovers! Oh my gosh this is gonna be perfect!"
