Reborn of the Luna novel Chapter 12

Summary for Chapter 12: Reborn of the Luna

Summary of Chapter 12 – A pivotal chapter in Reborn of the Luna by CutieBinkie

The chapter Chapter 12 is one of the most intense moments in Reborn of the Luna, written by CutieBinkie. With signature elements of the Internet genre, this part of the story reveals deep conflicts, shocking revelations, and decisive character changes. A must-read for anyone following the narrative.

“This isn’t your usual style,” Will remarked, and I was slightly shocked that he noticed.

“I’m in the mood for some changes,” I said with a smile, tilting my head slightly, noticing how his eyes darkened. Well, this was new.

He opened the car door for me and helped me inside, holding the train of my dress and placing it gently at my feet. Maybe I overdid it a bit? Dancing in this could be problematic. Not that I planned to dance much. Tonight had a different purpose.

I glanced briefly at Maximus and Rebecca, who sat way too close for my liking. I managed to hold back a grin when I saw Becca wearing the tacky peach dress covered in sparkling rhinestones. The color didn’t suit her red hair at all and made her look a bit too orangey.

“Luna,” Becca greeted me awkwardly, clinging to Maximus while he carefully removed her arms from his and signaled her to keep them at her knees. At least he was trying not to be too disrespectful in my presence—if one could even say that.

“Kat,” Maximus offered, not even managing a smile. “You look breathtaking.”

“Thanks,” I replied with my own fake smile. “Will already told me that.”

A heavy silence lingered over us as the car drove off.

“Luna,” Rebecca probed, unable to shut up. “The dress you’re wearing—it’s truly exquisite.”

“Thank you,” I spared her just a glance. “I guess I do have good taste. Yours is nice too. I hope you enjoyed picking out your outfit first.”

“You got to choose first?” Maximus sounded surprised. This wasn’t what the omega had told him about the dress-picking process. She had mentioned that Luna was kind enough to give her one of the dresses that no one wanted. Which was fine, of course, since I didn’t have to give her anything at all.

“Didn’t you know?” I raised my brow, “Becca was so emotional when she saw the racks of clothes. I thought it would make her happy to pick whatever she wanted before anyone else since it was her first time and all.”

“Will, I forgot my clutch in the car,” I mentioned, smiling softly. “Would you be so kind as to bring it to me? My phone is in it, and I don’t want to miss any important calls in case anything happens while we’re away.”

“Of course,” he nodded and quickly ran back to the limousine.

This wasn’t a coincidence—I had done this on purpose. I didn’t want to enter the room with my plus one. I needed the shock and pity factor that would come with my arrival without my Alpha and chosen mate. So, when the omegas opened the doors for Maximus and Rebecca, I made sure to follow right behind them, holding my head high.

A Luna betrayed by her husband. A Luna who had nothing to be embarrassed about. A Luna who knew her worth. Maximus and Rebecca were already at the bottom of the grand staircase while I waited at the top with a vague smile on my lips. I could hear growls here and there in the room. And whispers. So many whispers that it was overwhelming at first.

Yet, I soaked in the attention, descending slowly when one growl overpowered them all.
