“EEK!” I squeal. “Hold on, let me find him,” I say, racing down the hallway to his room. I bang on the door, but he doesn’t answer.

“Hold on. I’m going to put you on hold, so I don’t make you dizzy while I find him,” I say, racing down the stairs.

“Shane!” I call out. I look at my watch and realize he might be getting a late dinner. I know he went for a run with the guys earlier.

I run to the cafeteria and nearly barrel into him.

“Tiana, what are you doing,” he says, putting his hands on my hips and steadying me.

“Enya and Christian are on the phone. They have news for us!” I tell him excitedly.

He smiles at me. There’s something different about his smile. I tilt my head to the side, trying to figure out what it is.

“Come here,” he says, grabbing a chair at one of the tables and pulling me into his lap.

“What’s going on with you?” I ask him.

“We’ll talk later,” he says, kissing my shoulder.

“Okaaaay,” I say, holding up the phone and turning the video back on.

“There he is! Hey, little bro,” Enya says.

“Enya, you’re positively glowing,” he says.

“I’ve never been happier in my life,” she says, shifting so we can see Christian in the image as well.

“Hello, Shane,” he says, his tone a bit formal.

“Christian, I need to talk to you. I need to apologize for our last conversation,” Shane begins.

“No, you don’t. I understand, Shane. I’ve been in those hell week shoes. It sucks. As long as you’re working through things on your end and you know that I’m not trying to steal your pack from underneath you, we’re good.”

“We’re good,” he says.

“Soooo!” Enya says excitedly. It looks like she’s bouncing in Christian’s lap she’s so excited. He chuckles, watching her in a way that is so similar to how my father looks at my mother that it makes me feel nostalgic for home.

“We found out the gender of our baby today!” Enya says, practically squealing in her excitement.

“And we’re the first ones to find out,” I tell Shane quickly.

“Aww, thanks Enya. I appreciate that,” he says, wrapping his arms around me.

She shrugs. “You’re my only family Shane. Well, my only blood relative. Obviously Sebi is family now too,” she says.

“So, is it a boy or a girl?” I ask.
