He doctor's gaze flew from Blake to Sam back to Blake. "You can save a pretty girl like this but couldn't save your sister?"

Sam glared at Blake's father. "Get out! I want a different doctor, get out now!"

"No Sam, it's fine, he's the best, just stitch her up if she needs it father, the sooner you fix her up the sooner I am back out of your life." Blake turned to Sam and rubbed her neck softly.

Doctor Camden looked over Sam, fixed her ankles and wrists with gauze. "They aren't terrible enough for stitches, but keep them wrapped, cleaned, you can leave." He left the room slapping the curtain aside fast.

Sam looked at Blake. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine sweetheart, thank you for defending me though, that meant a lot to me." He whispered his eyes filled with hurt and awe for her.

"Of course Blake, you saved me, didn't hurt me, I wasn't going to let you be accused of doing this to me, he was an asshole." Sam got off the bed and they left the hospital.

Blake's phone began to ring. "Yeah Boss?"

"Where's Sammy?" Aaron's distraught voice said into the phone.

"We're at the hospital right now getting ready to leave, she's fine though." Blake glanced at Sam leaning her head against the window. "Wait you want us to go now? Aaron come on dude, she just was attacked by him, just got bandaged up, what are you thinking?"

"Jaimie wants her to do it as soon as possible."

"Jaimie? What the hell are you both thinking? This is crazy, I'm not putting her through that." Blake glanced at Sam again, she was staring at him now in confusion. "Alright, Aaron I'm not making her go, I'm leaving it up to her." He hung up the phone and laid his head against the steering wheel.

"Baby, what's the matter?" Sam asked as she moved closer to Blake.

He looked at her for a minute. "Baby?" He asked when he reached out to her.

"Well you call me baby all the time am I not allowed?"

"Of course you're allowed to, I love hearing you call me that, Jaimie wants you to come down to the station to identify the man."

"Okay."

Blake's eyes flew to her face with the short replay she gave. "Are you sure?"

"Yes I want to know why." She tried to explain.

"So do I Baby, so do I." He started the truck and headed to the station.

Sam hopped out of the truck but waited for Blake to come around to her. She let him pull her into him and they headed into the small station.

Jaimie met them as soon as they walked in. She ran a hand against Sam's cheek gently. "I know this is going to be difficult Sammy, I'm sorry."

"It's fine, I want to do this, I don't care, I need to know why." She took a deep breath, letting Blake's strength soak into her.

Jaimie led them to an empty room across from the interrogation room the man was in. Sam closed her eyes tightly, she felt Blake's hands on her shoulders rubbing them.

Sam slowly opened her eyes, she covered her mouth turning into Blake as she screamed. Him? Really why?

'What would you want?'

"Doesn't matter, whatever you want."

Blake sighed as he pulled into the Mexican restaurant. "Beef or chicken?"

"Chicken please."

"Okay stay here, don't go anywhere, please I'll be right back." He kissed one of her bandaged wrists. He got two chicken taco salads along with some chips and their cheese dip. He took the bags and rushed back to Sam. He hopped into the truck and Sam moved closer to him laying her head against his arm.

He smiled and headed back to Aaron's. He parked the truck and they went inside to eat. When they got done he cleaned up the kitchen. "Baby why don't you go get some rest? I'm going to go check on things with Aaron."

She slowly went upstairs like he said to do. She slowly laid down on her cold bed, covered up with the cold sheets.

Blake watched Sam go upstairs, he wanted to take everything away for her. He began to head out to the barn. "Aaron?"

"Yeah, how's Sammy?" Aaron asked coming out of the feed room.

"Very upset, recluse, down, I think she'll come around soon, I hope."

"Those my clothes?" Aaron raised his eyebrows as he took in his jeans and red buttoned down shirt.

"Yeah sorry we cleaned up before we went to the hospital."
