Brady made her look at him shocked she actually slapped him. "Oh come on, you know it was more than a crush, now tell me what's going on."

"I said no Brady." She pushed back against him as he moved his lips closer to hers again.

"Let her go Brady, now." Blake demanded from behind them.

Brady swung around. "We were just talking."

"Oh yeah, it sure looked like it, I'm sure Jill would understand that talk you were having." Blake folded his arms over his chest, Brady better back off he already had plenty of reasons to pulverize him and this made it an even bigger reason.

Brady glared at Blake and stormed away quickly when the thought of his girlfriend became a main thought.

Blake glared after Brady behind his sunglasses as he watched Brady leave. He turned back towards Sam and saw the tears spilling from her eyes. He pulled her into his arms and rubbed her hair gently and her back just like earlier. He laid his chin on top of her head. "Are you okay?"

Sam nodded her head but barely. She tried to pull back from Blake but he kept a hold of her a little. She sighed as the tears fell and she wrapped her arms around his waist pulling herself closer to him.

Blake rubbed her back more and he didn't know what possessed him to do so but he kissed her head gently. "I'm sorry Sam, I've never seen Brady like this before, you didn't deserve what he was trying to do."

Sam pulled back fast and stared up into those sunglasses. She frowned, his voice sounded a little familiar, southern like. Another strange man a complete sweetheart in one day had to be impossible. "Blake?" She whispered.

He let a small smile touch his lips as he laid his hands against her cheeks and rubbed her tears away. "Don't worry, you want to help me out you can, we'll start tomorrow, we'll become buddies while you're here and distract you as much as possible from whatever it is you want distracted from," he hugged her again. "For now though why don't you go get settled in, just relax the rest of tonight, especially after your drive here."

Sam looked up at Blake again so confuse. She nodded her head then headed out of the barn but she turned before she left. "Thank you." She whispered.

The small smile touched his lips again briefly. "You're welcome, see you tomorrow."

Blake leaned against the frame of the barn door as he watched her walk towards the house. He pushed his shades to the top of his head then folded his arms tightly over his chest. What was it about that poor girl that made men act so stupid? He was surprised by the way she let him hold her with knowing each other a whole five minutes but slapped Brady the minute she felt in danger. He should have told her he was the one who helped her, he had the opportunity but he didn't take it. He ran his hand over his face roughly as he turned around quickly and there stood Aaron. "Boss."

"Blake," Aaron paused and looked him over a little suspiciously. "I'm going to ask you something and I want an honest answer."

"Sammy, let's get your bags inside."

"I don't have any, I didn't really plan this, it was spur of the moment."

"Oh okay, well we can go pick somethings up for you."

"Actually I can just go tomorrow, I've been up since about three, so I just want to eat and maybe go to bed if that's okay."

"Okay, come on." He helped her off the steps and they went into the house.

They threw in a frozen pizza, ate, then Sam went to bed while Aaron went on one last check of the animals. He noticed Brady had already left. Once he made sure everything was okay outside he headed into lay down himself. He was pretty exhausted from trying to figure his sister out. What was he going to do with her?

Sam jerked awake a scream almost passing from her lips. She grabbed at her throat but nothing was there, it was just a dream, it felt so real though. She felt exactly the same way as she had in the garage when he had a hold of her. She was taking in deep rapid breaths.
