KEVIN

My eyes faintly awoke to bright white ceilings, sun rays phasing through the windows and a bed so large and comfy. As I turned lazily, pain instantly bloomed across my arms. Although it wasn't magnanimous compared to last night, I knew I still needed some time to heal up.

And for a split second, I thought I was back in my raggedly house. Where birds always entertained the morning with their chirps and my bed creaking with the offensive odour of alcohol and Cigarettes.

The bedsheets was sporting a spotless shade of white in harmony with this large room. I was still reviewing the room when it struck me. I killed Alpha Jason and I found my mate!

I arose sharply, tossing the sheets over as I alighted off the bed bare chested with a pair of ash joggers.

I frowned for a split second, wondering how I got dressed and how I landed in this room in the first place.

My right hand trailed to the back of my neck, checking if the Rogue symbol was still there. But luckily, it had vanished. I was no longer a Rogue.

"Alpha Kevin!" Gabriel squeaked as the luxurious door quietly opened. He didn't even wait for my permission before lurching at me. Giving a hug that almost squeezed the air out of my lungs.

"You did it! You won!" He pitched excitedly behind my back.

"No, we did it." I answered in the calmest mannerism possible. Truth be told, I didn't even have the strength to raise my voice.

"Where are the others? Are they safe?" I asked worriedly as he separated from our embrace.

"Yes." He answered with a smile. "They are here in this Pack House. I think you should see them now."

I heaved an inaudible sigh, the thought of talking amidst them alone was tiring. As if luck had found me, the door clicked open and Uncle Walker stepped in.

"I don't know." I mumbled. "Perhaps if you had any respect for my Father you would have done it."

He chuckled but not in an happy nor sarcastic way. But a laugh that held deep meaning I couldn't pinpoint.

"Your Father wouldn't have wanted this way for you."

"That's because he was soft!" I managed to raise my voice. "It was his softness that led to his sudden demise. I'm not my Father."

"So you wouldn't hesitate in blowing your Pack up all for revenge?"

My lips parted slightly while my eyes darted to the grenade. Assuming it was yesterday Uncle Walker asked this question, I would have blatantly said yes. But now the question tackled my conscience. Would I really blow my Pack Members up?
