"You Bastard!"

Jerry growled in front of me. His chest towering up and down, his gaze ferocious like he was ready to kill his prey. But here I was, clutching to the reins of my luggage facing him with a blank expression. Thinking about my Mother's heart wrenching words.

"You Rogue, you think you can just kill my Father and I'll be quiet!" He barked again, this time drawing the attention of few Pack Members close by. "You're not my Alpha and never will be! I challenge you, Kevin. I challenge you to a duel to death!"

My teeth gritted as my grip tightened. Assuming I wasn't so weak, I wouldn't allow my ears entertain the nonsense he was vomiting.

I inched closer to him, his eyes twitched and his lips parted slightly. He was obviously trying to retain his intimidating countenance which he failed at horribly.

"I killed your Father." I stated in the iciest manner my vocal cords could orchestrate. "Just imagine what I'll do to you. You're not even a near competitor so you better respect the hierarchy."

I brushed past him as I finished those words. Hitting his shoulder away in the process.

"Like Father Like Son!" He blared behind my back but I continued to march in peace. "Very soon you'll commit treachery. After all, you're the son of a traitor!"

My head rang bells immediately. Bells that instigated anger. My pace halted abruptly. I neared him in a blink, giving him an unprecedented blow across his right cheek. As he crashed to the ground, blood sputtered out of his mouth.

"Say any atrocious words to your Alpha again and I won't hesitate to burn that tongue."

I heard indistinctive chatter from the few people that surrounded us but I cared less. Instead, I picked my gentle pace towards the Pack house.

"Kevin!" Gabriel's voice pitched behind me. I turned to his smiley face uninterestingly as he trotted towards me.

"Thank Goodness I found you." He muttered amidst his pants. I heaved a sigh, mentally preparing myself for the things he was about to chatter.

"As the new Alpha, you need to gather every Pack members and announce to them the new changes. Your Beta for example."

"Everyone knows I'm the new Alpha and you're my Beta, that's not new." I remarked as we trailed side by side.

"Kevin, we're talking about a Pack of over three hundred members. There's already enough tension amongst everyone. You need to do something before things get out of hand!" He explained while anxiety ruled within me. Ever since the morning dawned, my ears has only been filled with irritating talks of responsibilities. All I wanted was to avenge my Father and not cater for useless members.

"I'm your Alpha." I cut him off. "And whatever I say is final. I don't want to hear talks like this again." I muttered as we arrived the Pack House. "Do whatever you want with them, I don't care."

I didn't even wait for his response before sauntering into the building where I was greeted by the faces of Black Moon Pack Members.

"Oh hi guys!" I sarcastically toned, waving my other hand. "I'm glad you guys are alive and safe even after yesterday's fierce battle. Greenville is ours now. Enjoy yourselves and any other issues will be handled by Gabriel here. Thank you." I announced dryly before striding up the stairs with my luggage bag.

"Can you even hear yourself?! Is that the words that should be coming out from an Alpha?! Where are you even coming from?!" Gabriel yelled behind my back.

"Somewhere, and don't even ask." I answered coldly without a glance.

"Kevin!" Gabriel hollered behind my back.

"Gabriel,". I sighed as I turned to him. "I'm weak. I need some rest and time to think so please leave me alone."

"I hope you use that time to think of something reasonable, Alpha." He quoted in anger and then strolled down the stairs.
