I rolled my eyes before climbing the final step. As I walked in the hallway thinking about responsibilities, Lupus held me back.
Beckoning me to turn to my right. It was a door just adjacent mine but Lupus wanted me to enter. I felt this unusual sparks and excitement course through my veins as my hand gently grazed the door knob.
As I sauntered into the room, I was instantly greeted by a familiar scent. The sparks increased and then realization struck me. This was my mate's room. So peaceful, warm and in a strange way, I didn't feel the accustomed void within me.
My bag dropped in oblivion as I strolled towards her bed. Streaming my fingers through her white bedsheets. I didn't even know when I had relaxed on the bed, rubbing the sheets tenderly against my cheek. I know majority of Greenville members except her. She was new and the fact that she lives in this Pack house somewhat puzzled me.
My mind travelled to the night before. Where our eyes had met, how her dazzling honey eyes melted the hardness of my heart. Her beauty was the only thing raiding my head at that point. Except for the disappointment on her face though. She must probably be somewhere weeping she was mated to me.
The wind hushed across the window and my nostrils picked her scent again. She was nearby, that I was certain. In oblivion, Lupus took control over my legs.
"Lupus stop this nonsense!" I bellowed but he drove me towards the door, down the stairs and outside. I embattled him for control but in the latter end, he made my legs move hastily on the road leading to Greenville High. He thirsted to meet our mate but I wasn't. Yesterday's impression alone was enough to tell, she wasn't going to be a fan of me very much.
I didn't even want to begin to talk about my anxieties let alone envisage how our conversation would happen.
It would be so weird and stupid but those thoughts soon tousled as Lupus finally halted in Greenville's High hallway. Filled with students and their lockers who all glared in my direction.
Shock, Terror, anger, I saw them all. Imprinted on each of their faces.
I smirked, slipped my hand into my pocket before pulling out a cigarette and a lighter. Without thoughts, I lit the cigarette while heavy puff of smokes escaped my lips.
"What the hell are you doing here?!" One of them barked from the end. The crowd parted way for him to reveal himself and behold it was Ezekiel. Jerry's friend. Glaring at me like he was going to pounce on me anytime soon.
"See me in my office now!" Her agitated tone jerked me back from my fairytale. I continued to watch dumbfounded as she elegantly walked to her office in spotless white shirt complemented with a pair of black high waist trouser and matching stiletto heels.
I thought of running but Lupus wouldn't let me. Fear shook my entirety to the core and the eyes of students on me made it worse. As if they were seeing through me.
"What are you all looking at, don't you have classes!" I almost yelled and immediately, they began to disperse. I took deep breaths to allay my fears but it felt like I was hyperventilating. Imaginary heat began to make my body uncomfortable, like I could collapse anytime soon if I didn't do something quick.
I briskly went for my pockets, hastily shoving a cigarette in my mouth before lighting it. And in just one puff, all my nervousness were blown away.
"Okay Lupus, let's do this." I muttered to myself as I began marching. I was the male here, the Alpha. If anyone should be nervous, it should be her.
