All the confidence I had vanished once again as I sauntered into her small office. There she was, seated on her swivel like a boss whilst boring holes in me. Her right fingers were on her desk filled with files of sort, tapping impatiently like a time bomb about to explode.
Honestly, this wasn't the look of a mate I was expecting. I hate to admit it, but I thought our meeting would be divine. Both of us melting in each other's eyes, and a love story ignited. But this was outrageously different.
Our first meeting ended on a bad note and this one, obviously seemed to be trailing that path again. She was angry, way too furious that I didn't even know when I sat on the wooden chair opposite hers. Like an obedient child.
"No Cigarettes in my office." She ordered in the iciest tone my ears has ever heard. Even my mother's tone wasn't a near competitor.
I instantly got irritated, although not as much like I wanted. Thanks to the mate bond. But how dare she? Ordering her Alpha without regards!
I tried to frown but my lack of confidence made me look dumb. Her nose flared for a split moment before she arose. Walked towards me and pulled out the cigarette in the sharpest and disrespectful way possible.
I was dumbstruck as she marched the wrap mercilessly with her heel and focused those fierce honey eyes back at me.
"It is apparent that you aren't a student of Greenville High yet you caused ruckus. Why are you here in the first place?" She queried as her arms creased against her chest.
"I came to see you!" Lupus almost made me sputter those words. My teeth gritted as my eyes lustfully focused on her chest. Three of her shirt's button were unbuttoned, giving me a chance to review those full breasts of hers. My mind began to entertain those devilish thoughts, thoughts that I secretly enjoyed but I quickly shove them away.
"I came to see how my students are faring." I answered with a smirk.
"And what right do you have to say those words?" She retorted with furrowed brows. I arched my eyebrows in the same manner too. Was she trying to frustrate me or feign ignorance to yesterday's battle?
"I am the Alpha of Greenville Pack now." I stated coldly.
Her eyes briefly reflected softness as her lips parted but then it reverted to it's fierceness again.
"I'm not going to reject you." She whispered and I almost heaved a sigh of relief. "But I'm not going to accept you either."
My eyes exclaimed and my heart almost exploded. I could feel my body quivering as I awaited more words. Words I wasn't sure my heart could take.
"My mate is not going to be a smoker nor a ruffian. My mate is an Alpha, who is responsible, looks presentable and above all, has respect and discipline. So until you meet those requirements, you're just a Nobody to me."
As I heard those words, my head started to spin with dizziness. Pain raged in my chest, I couldn't even tell if my heart was still alive again. Lupus cried and I, the only thought in my head was that,
I was a NOBODY to my mate!
