My eyes gently opened only to be welcomed by an old ceiling. My ears entertained the tweeting of birds and my bed creaked. Realization soon struck me I was in my old house. But something was different.

My injuries were healed up, the emptiness I usually wake up with was absent as well. All I could feel was excitement and strong sparks coursing through my veins. Lupus's spirit had connected back to my soul too. And this time he was extremely joyous.

I frowned immediately, confused as to why this beautiful feeling was all over me today. Or was I dead?! Perhaps this was my heaven!

Those thoughts tousled immediately I felt warm breaths softly gracing my abs. My nostrils were instantly overwhelmed by the sweet scent of honey.

My left hand seemed to be intertwined with another which caused me to lift my head slightly from the pillow. And there, my eyes found her. My beautiful mate, holding my hand firmly and sleeping peacefully beside me.

Her head leaned against my bedside and the rest of her body, resting on the small stool she sat on. From the looks of it, she must have remained in this position all night. Yet her face was calm and beautiful like the ocean. Her black hair slightly covered her face and I couldn't help but weave those strands behind her ear.

A tiny smile spread on my lips as my right hand gently grazed her cheek. I shouldn't be doing this, she hasn't accepted me but I couldn't stop either. The softness of her skin and the warmth that graced my fingers thereof successfully brainwashed me.

Her eyes suddenly opened and instantly, I froze. My right hand on her cheek and the other intertwined with hers. My heart raced like sport cars as those dazzling Honey irises focused on me.

Amidst the sparks, excitement and all, a space for fear birthed. Fear of what atrocious words she would spill out again. But when we kept on staring at each other like enchanted beings I decided to break that chain.

I pulled my hand off her palms and the other back to my chest. I decided to alight from my bed and immediately I noticed my trousers were changed to a pair of blue shorts.

I suspiciously peered at her, where she was standing at the other side of the bed. Her eyes gawking at my built chest. Not that I hated it or anything, but she hadn't accepted me yet. Hence she doesn't have the right to my body let alone change my shorts. Who knows how long she stared at my little guy down there.

"I wonder who changed my shorts." I quoted as I walked to my window gracing me with it's beautiful morning rays. It was the perfect way to hide from her face.

"Your mother did." She answered and this time not in an harsh tone I remembered. But damn I was nervous, scared of her would be the proper word. There she was, acting all innocent but she definitely wasn't!

"Here," she approached my back and I couldn't help but turn to that beautiful face again. "Wear this." She handed me a blue T-shirt.

"How are you feeling?" She asked as I collected the shirt cautiously. Unwanted memories of last night instantly flooded my head. How Jerry and his gang almost took my life.

My palms curled into a fist as rage ignited within me. I didn't even bother to answer her question, I paced towards the door whilst wearing my T-shirt.

"Your Mother isn't home." She called behind me as she joined me in the parlour. But I cared less, after all my mother didn't want to see me nor do I want to see her stop me from killing those idiots.

"That's good!" I growled and aimed for the door.

"And I, Kevin Manchester, Alpha of Greenville Pack, order you to get out of my way!" I retorted with glowing eyes too.

"And as the Luna of Greenville, I say Nay!" She hollered back.

"You're not my Luna yet!"

"Neither are you my Alpha yet!"

I heaved a sigh while my eyes returned back to it's Hazel. At this point, I knew there was no way to convince her. Or maybe there was.

My eyes twitched and my mouth went agape as I clutched unto my stomach.

"Shit!" I muttered amidst my fake cough as I wobbled towards a couch. I coughed harder and this time her defiant posture melted into concern. The moment she left the door to reach me, I made my move. I trotted outside with werewolf speed.

"Kevin!!!" I heard her scream but I kept on racing towards Greenville. No one, not even my mate was going to stop me from killing Alpha Jason's son.
