I was a NOBODY to my mate!
Those were the only words raging like a storm in my head as I furiously threaded to my gigantic Pack House. Immediately I entered into the mansion, there I found Gabriel, Rose alongside others celebrating with glasses of red wine dangling between their fingers. Their laughter, their joy and above all the redness that gleamed irritated me to the core. Drowning me in an ocean of anger I relentlessly tried to subdue. Apparently, I failed. My chest towered up and down, the hairs on my skin arose whilst my palms curled into a fist. My eyes glowered as my breaths came out short and heavy. And above all, Lupus was in pain.
"Everybody get out!" I roared in the thickest tone my cords could orchestrate. Their smiles vanished while their gazes fell on me.
"What's wrong?" Gabriel asked as he approached me, his eyes trying to read mine.
"Didn't you all hear me?!" I barked and immediately, they dropped their glasses on tables before pacing out hurriedly. Except Gabriel, who stood face to face with me. Not startled by my orders even in the slightest.
"I won't repeat myself Gabriel." I growled, this time I didn't care if he was my friend or my Beta. I was going to rip apart anybody who tried to stop me from having privacy.
"I won't leave here until you tell me what's wrong. You look terrible." He quoted in return.
"Gabriel!" I hollered as I grabbed his collar towards me. "That's an order!" I bellowed through gritted teeth before yanking him off.
He heaved a sigh as he adjusted his shirt.
"Sometimes you need to think before you act. Alpha." He stated icily before brushing past me. Slamming the exit door behind me.
The tears I had long embattled started to soak my eyes. My body couldn't take it anymore, the haunting pain Lupus was currently facing. My entirety quivered like one suffering from extreme cold. I wobbled to the mini bar with my vision slightly turning hazy. I slipped out a cigarette and lighter from my pocket before grabbing a bottle of alcohol.
Getting high was all I needed. It was the only solution to my problems. Hence, without hesitation and further thoughts. I gulped the liquid contents recklessly before complementing it with good old fashion cigarette.
And after Bottles upon Bottles, Cigarettes upon Cigarettes, my head finally went blank. My vision were hazy as I began seeing multiple versions of different objects. My legs aimlessly staggered around the large living room. I was looking for the stairs but my vision couldn't let me pinpoint exactly. And just when I had decided to sleep on the cold floor, I heard the entrance door click open.
I groaned, I tried to save myself, to muster enough strength but too much alcohol and cigarettes had drained me. Is this how I was going to die?
In the hands of a pathetic wolf and his friends hitting me relentlessly with bats and kicks. At a point, it felt like I was in trance. Where my body was immune to everything. Where there was only my blood slowly touring out of my body and my strength fading.
I was going to die. Die without avenging my father. Die a miserable death!
Tears started to soak my eyes as I gradually returned back to my harsh reality. My breaths were slowly receding and my eyes closing even as hard as I tried to keep them open. I felt numbness spread throughout my body at the same time, tumultuous pain and unrest.
And just as I was about to cross the thin line between life and death,
"Kevin!" My ears blared my mate's soft voice so loud that it gave me hope. But in the end, it wasn't enough to stop me from slipping into the cold dark.
