KEVIN

I jolted awake from my bed, all sweaty and panting. I turned to my window above my bed and all I could see was the moon hung brightly amongst the stars. Everything looked perfect but they weren't. Something was wrong. I could feel it, Lupus was in extreme unrest and worry about my mate. As if something horrible had happened to her. I tried to feel our mate bond, but there was nothing. Like she wasn't in Greenville at all. And on that note, I alighted from my bed in a jiffy, hastily wearing a red T- shirt over my pair of ash knickers. I stormed out of my room while my heart began to pick pace. My head started to entertain several negative thoughts as I reached outdoors.

I unlocked one of the Jeeps parked in the parking lot before sauntering in impatiently. Without further thoughts, I drove like a mad man. Trotting at a dangerous pace to Claire's apartment. Perhaps this was wall a nightmare but I still needed to see her face. To know she's not in mortal danger.

Immediately I arrived, her environment was as dead as a burial ground. Well it was midnight but I still felt the aura of eeriness. I paced to her door sharply, knocking impatiently.

"Claire!" I yelled hoping the lights would turn on and her door would open only for her to yell. But none of these happened. I kept on banging on her door with trembly hands and when I couldn't take it anymore, I kicked her door open!

My eyes exclaimed in horror as I gasped. My legs almost failed me from the bloody stain inches away from her doorstep. My body shivered as if cold stormed against me. It was like a bomb exploded within me. I couldn't breathe properly, my eyes were twitching and my head entertaining several painful thoughts. I looked to her room and ran there, hoping I would find her but she was nowhere!

Tears soaked my eyes as I stopped in front of the gory scene again. This wasn't a nightmare, this was real Life!

My mate had been abducted. She was far away from me, writhing in pain. Amidst my pants, my trembly hand slipped out my phone. I dialed Gabriel's number as I continued shivering whilst battling my tears from trickling.

"G-gabriel!" I stuttered while I wobbled out of her apartment. "I need every boundaries of Greenville to be on total lockdown and each commander of different regions should report to the Pack House immediately!" I ordered before jumping into my vehicle, driving once again, like a mad man.

As I arrived Pack house, I stormed into the building with anger, pain and fear all intertwined. There they were all standing with concerned expressions decorating their faces. Four commanders, Gabriel and Rose.

"What happened?!" Gabriel was first to ask as he approached me.

"My mate has been abducted!" My loud voice echoed throughout the room and immediately Gabriel's countenance was struck in horror. The commanders burst into indistinctive chatter which infuriated me more.

"This is not the time to be murmuring words of surprise, my mate has been abducted and with every second that passes she's suffering!" I barked and immediately their lips sealed shut as they bowed their heads.

"Oh my God!" Gabriel exclaimed. My hands curled into a fist as my chest heaved up and down. I couldn't even begin to think what my step Cousin was doing to my mate. But I knew why he did all this, revenge!

"Gather my finest army!" I pronounced in the iciest manner, my eyes glowering. "We're going on a hunt for that bastard."

"Yes Alpha!" They blared and immediately stormed out. I did same too, pacing towards my vehicle alongside Gabriel.

"Alpha!" Rose's voice pitched as she came out, tear filled.

"Please whatever you're going to do, don't kill him." She pleaded while she fell on her knees. I could feel Gabriel's eyes on me but I wasn't going to be soft.

"He crossed the line Rose, I can't assure you anything." I stated through gritted teeth before hopping into my vehicle.
