"And you sir?" The waitress gaze fell on me, obviously trying to hide her surprise. I was too.

"Same." I muttered without thoughts before returning the board.

"As you wish! Two bowls of Ice cream coming right up!" She chirped with a bright smile before sauntering away.

"Ice cream?" I toned again with a quizzical face while she stared at me innocently. "Claire you can order for anything, the expenses is all covered don't worry."

"I know but it's ice cream I want only." She smiled.

"So we drove all the way from Greenville to just to have ice cream?" I asked, regretting why I chose the same thing with her when my stomach was on rampage.

She chuckled.

"I've long had a craving for Ice cream. Besides their menu is fantastic but it's nothing compared to Greenville."

I nodded in agreement while two chilled bowls of chocolate ice cream was served.

"Would you like anything else? Mr. Kevin, Miss Claire." She asked.

"No, Thank you." I responded.

"Alright Sir. Please, enjoy." She replied with her accustomed smile before parting away.

"Claire are you sure you don't want anything else?" I asked again while she chuckled.

"Kevin, I'm okay with this. Besides, ice cream is what I need to calm your peppery noodles raging my stomach."

"It wasn't that peppery if you ask me." I shrugged while she rolled her eyes.

"That's because you cooked it." She replied before taking a scoop of her cream. I chuckled before entertaining my taste buds with chilled taste of chocolate.

"So, When last have you dwelled amongst humans?" I asked.

"Few months ago. Before I came to Greenville." She answered.

"I can't even remember when last I did." I chuckled but I lied. I remembered it was days before my Father died.

"I'm not good." I responded but Lupus said otherwise. She pulled me, taking us to the dance floor.

"I'll show you the ropes then." She said. She placed my hands around her waist and then wrapped hers around my neck.

"Just let your body flow with the rhythm."

And like a student I was, I listened. Slowly moving in sync with her.

"How are you feeling?" I asked in concern.

"I can't describe, but I don't want this to stop." She responded as she looked into my eyes.

"Not that Claire." I answered and she understood.

"Just little pain around my body but I'm getting better day by day."

I heaved a sigh. The thought of her fighting this pain alone was nightmarish. How could I be living fine when my mate was in pain?
