"Good Morning, Luna." Rose greeted with her usual cheerful smile while Aunt Flora studied me. Both of them were seated by the bedside with a plate of breakfast separating them.
"I've told you countless times, Claire is better." I noted before inching towards Aunt Flora.
"Good Morning Aunt Flora." I said with a tiny smile.
"Good Morning darling." She answered in her accustomed silky soft voice. "I don't really know who you are." She added as I joined them. Putting her in the middle.
"I'm Claire, Kevin's mate." I uttered, she smiled. Her warm hand held onto my cheek dearly while her eyes met mine. As if she were trying to read me. Then her eyes darted to my neck where Kevin's mark was imprinted.
"It is an honor to have you as our Luna, Claire." She said, her sincerity blooming. "The moon goddess must love Kevin so much to have blessed him with you."
My eyes lowered to the sheets. There was something about this woman, something I couldn't quite depict.
"He visited me this morning and I can tell he was depressed. They say he's my nephew but I can't remember anything."
"Anything at all?" I asked.
"Nothing. I don't even remember how I landed here." She remarked. I sighed and then gently took her hand in between mine.
"You'll be fine, Aunt Flora." I assured. "Perhaps you and I should go on a tour around Greenville. I'm sure it will help reliving those memories."
"Thank you my dear but Rose has already offered to go a tour with me. Besides, I don't want to hinder you from spending time with your mate."
She soothed.
"I agree with Aunt Flora." Rose chirped with a mischievous smile. "Someone's had a long night yesterday."
My eyes exclaimed and a blush inadvertently birthed on my face.
"So you were spying on us?" I queried in a jovial tone.
"No!" She wriggled her head with laughter minting alongside. "But your screams were more than enough." She teased while I rolled my eyes.
"You two should take your time, I can handle the work don't worry." He added before easing through the door. I heaved an inaudible sigh of relief as the door quietly shut.
Of course I was disturbing my mate's work but we both knew we needed each other. Whether we liked it or not, our spirits craved each other like crazy since last night.
I ran my right index finger on his desk walking like a seductress towards Kevin, whose eyes were already beaming with love and lust.
"Is that my shirt?" He queried with laughter. I shrugged.
"Maybe." I softly quoted. "You're not the only one who loves wearing oversized shirts, you know." I teased as I stood inches away from him.
"Come here!" He chorused, pulling me gently but swift into his grasp. I relaxed on his thighs while his swivel rolled on a tiny curve.
I leaned my back against his steely chest that bloomed of warmth even with his shirt on. I let my hair flow across his face so he revelled in it's scent. His arms curled around my waist as he breathed softly across my mark. I felt an enticing tingling sensation spiral across my body and at this rate, if we didn't stop, lust could overcome us.
Not that I didn't want it though, but we were in his office and just anyone could walk in or hear us. So yeah, I wasn't ready to risk that chance at all.
