"Good Morning, Love." Kevin's tender kiss on my forehead and scent welcomed me to my beautiful reality.
If I had expected my Alpha to be in bed with me, his breaths warming my cheeks up and his arms around my waist, then that expectation was a dream.
My eyes faintly opened to his sweet smile as he sat beside me. Dressed in a white and blue jean. His hair wasn't messy as usual but neatly styled and his eyes gleamed of joy. In them, it mirrored last night and a smile slowly found it's way to my lips.
"Good Morning." I said in a whisper as I stretched a little, pulling the white blanket a little inches to my neck.
"How was your night?" He asked while he gently caressed my cheek. I almost quivered from the series of sparks coursing throughout my body. They were intensified, perhaps because we finally bonded as one.
"Lovely." I remarked and his smile deepened. Last night changed it all, as Kevin marked me, I could understand what he was feeling through the mate bond, I could communicate clearly with his Wolf, Lupus. And above all, his magnanimous love for me.
I stared at him for a while before running my fingers through his neatly packed hair which I was obviously ruining. And then my eyes darted to the mark across his neck. My mark. One I had given him during our mating.
It wasn't a bite mark though rather it was the symbol of Moonsville and an half moon, tattooed on a small area. This was the mate's mark that usually appeared on every Pack member. The half moon plus the mate's Pack origin insignia. My fingers dropped from his curly hair to his neck and finally to the mark. Touching the mark alone caused this undescribable sweetness to course through me. The sweetest I've never felt all my life.
"It's beautiful." He said, his eyes gleaming with sincerity. His fingers went across my neck too, playing his index finger on his mark imprinted on me. I was definite it was the beautiful symbol of Greenville combined with an half moon. It made my body thirst in excitement to see it.
"How are you feeling?" He asked.
I kept on romancing his neck whilst searching for the usual pain I wake up with but they were gone. My full strength was back or better said, I was more powerful. Perhaps due to the mate bond, I now shared some of Kevin's strength.
"Strong enough to beat your ass." I chuckled and he smirked. "It's funny cos I feel like, I have access to a considerable amount of your strength."
"It's totally normal." He ascertained with a smile. "My mother used to tell me, once mates are bonded, they share each other's strength." I nodded like a child. "But seriously though, how's your body?"
I rose my back from the bed so that our faces were only inches away. I held unto his cheek, staring into those Hazel eyes that never ceases to captivate.
"I am totally fine, Kev."
He studied my eyes for a brief moment before claiming my lips for a short period. A part of me wished it had lasted longer but we both knew, passion and lust will once again. Leading us to another hot sex.
"I have to go now." He whispered while our foreheads hugged. Our eyes still holding each other and his warm breaths swarming all over.
I shrugged like a child before stealing a kiss on his tasty lips.
"You can go now." I whispered. He nodded before pacing towards the door.
"I'll see you soon." He ascertained before easing through the door. As the door clicked shut, I entertained myself with memories of last night. From our Dinner, to the mystical land and to our sex. If anyone had told me life in Greenville was bound to be a blessing in disguise for me, I would have outrightly denied.
My mission here was to handle Greenville High for some months but the moon goddess had beautiful plans for me. As I sauntered into the bathroom, I went straight to the mirror. Gawking at Kevin's mark imprinted boldly on my neck. At the same time, I wondered how my Father was faring. It's been days since we last spoke, I'm sure he would be shocked to find out I hid all this from him. That I found my mate, he his an Alpha and above all, I've been marked. Perhaps it was time to pay him a visit alongside Kevin.
I could already imagine the surprise that would smash Kevin once he finds out, I'm the Lycan's daughter. I stepped back into the room after a bath full of my Father and Kevin's thoughts.
As I stared uninterestingly into the wardrobe, my mind travelled to Moonsville again. My Father is one who's disciplined and Kevin on the other hand, was one who would easily make a bad impression. I dearly hoped the two wouldn't be at loggerheads.
And on that note, I decided to wear one of Kevin's oversized brown shirt. Usually, it would have reeked of cigarettes and beers but it was different. Only his scent remained and in a way, it allayed my fears.
I eased through the door barefooted, letting my feet enjoy the warmth of the floors as I toured to Aunt Flora's room. I knocked gently but when I got no reply, I clicked the door open.
