"Well I guess its time to go to New York." I told Jim. I turned back to the window and stared at the rain that had just begun to fall and thought about what Arianna might be doing right now and if she knew that I was coming for her. I hope she did and that she was prepared.
Arianna's POV
I closed my diary, finishing up my diary entry for today. I keep all my thoughts, fears and dreams in this book. Kyle and Marco already know they're not allowed to look in it. I sometimes write little things to the baby. Sometimes it helps me prepare for when I will become a mother. I want to be able to answer every question and give the child a better life than I did.
I put the book down and just stared out the window. The rain stopped but the rain drops were still on the window, it gave New York or better yet, Manhattan, a sort of slow look. I liked it better than the usual 'too busy to take a breathe look'.
I heard the room door open but I didn't look over to see who was walking in. I was too deep in thought to actually care. I felt a hand on my shoulder and I looked up to see Kyle. He was looking down at me with that half smile that I knew was because he was concerned.
"You've been in here for 2 hours babe. Are you ok?" Kyle asked.
"It's been that long?" I asked. Kyle just nodded. "I didn't realize, I was so busy thinking."
"Well, maybe you need to get out. Wanna go to Roberto's or better yet let's go to Trevor's restaurant. Alysia'a been trying to get you to come and visit for months. Now you can."
"I don't know. I don't really feel like changing my clothes."
"Just put on some jeans and change your shirt. C'mon. It'll be fun, I promise." I looked up at Kyle. I knew I shouldn't have done that when I saw his puppy dog face. Ugh I hated when he did that.
"Fine but you need to go get the clothes because I really don't feel like moving. It was supposed to be my lazy day."
"Well look who's being all gentlemen like." I said, teasing Marco.
"Yeah, yeah. Don't get use to it." Marco said. I knew he was completely serious.
Kyle got out too and handed the keys to the valet and walked into the restaurant to get the key to the back. Since it would be bad for business for us to be walking in a five star restaurant looking like we just came from the park, we headed towards the back to get in. We walked through the kitchen and into the VIP room. The room was velvet red with a big black marble table sitting in the middle with handmade chairs, which I earlier learned was custom made from India.
Kyle pulled out my chair and I sat down. Marco of course, gave up his gentlemen ways and resolved to texting his boyfriend and flirting with the phone.
"I'd be nice to finally meet this boy toy you continuously keep from us." I said to Marco. He looked like a deer in headlights as he slowly looked up at me from his phone screen. By that time, my best friend Alysia decided to join us.
